Yeah for real. Her Whitney covers are jaw-dropping and she's young/attractive enough so why she didn't try for American Idol or the Voice or something is totes beyond me. I get wanting to find success on her own but the whole "I got discovered off of YouTube" almost never works (why did someone like Bieber have to be the exception? grr). National TV, on the other hand, has greater rates of success.

I know it's going to sound a little hyperbolic, but imo with a voice like hers, she could be to Asian Americans (or at least Korean Americans) what Selena was to Chicanos. She is the real deal, and it bugs me that people won't get to hear it outside of kpop. Especially since, as she's said, she's been composing mainly in English - and it'll probably take her some time to get to the same level of fluency in Korean, which means she won't be singing her own words for some while. :\
I think what she needs is to be featured on some big-name artist's track first, or at least a hit track. Look at what "Nothin' On You" did for Bruno Mars, even with B.o.B. being a nugu! Hope the same thing can happen for her.
I like her and all but was it ever pointed out how "Heaven" is pretty much a Korean version of "Halo"? Lyrics, melody, beat, progression, hell even the MV is all "Halo". Not a coincidence considering how she skyrocketed on everyone's radar after she nailed a cover of "Halo".
I think that's one of the sweetest interviews I've ever watched :o) She's a fabulous girl. I hope she continues to do well and I can't wait to hear some of her self-written stuff too whenever she manages to get some positive feedback on it hehe ^^
