omonatheydidKorea’s government has deemed T-ara’s music video as harmful.
On March 30, according to Korea′s Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the Commission on Youth Protection, under the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MOGEF), ruled T-ara’s music video for their hit song Lovey-Dovey as harmful to underage youths.
At issue were the music video’s scenes involving violence, criminal acts, suicide, harmful businesses and harmful drugs.
In these cases where such a judgment is laid, the album containing the song in question must clearly be marked as restricted to minors and be barred from being sold to those under 19 years of age.
If the decision is not followed, the producing company, distribution company and seller may all be slapped with fines. No word yet from T-ara’s agency if they will appeal the ruling.
