Celebrities Attend VIP Premiere for Upcoming Sci-Fi Film "Doomsday Book"

The VIP premiere for the new film, "Doomsday Book" was held on April 2 at the Lotte Cinemas in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

"Doomsday Book" is a science-fiction anthology film that tells three different stories of human self-destruction in the modern high-tech era. It is the first Korean film with an "end of the world" theme.

"Doomsday Book" is the collaborative work between directors Kim Ji Woon and Lim Pil Sung. Kim Ji Woon directed numerous hits such as "A Tale of Two Sisters," "A Bittersweet Life," "The Good, The Bad, The Weird" and "I Saw The Devil."

"Doomsday Book" stars Ryu Seum Bum, Kim Kang Woo, Song Sae Byuk, Parj Hae Il, Kim Gyu Ri, Go Joon Hee, and Jin Ji Hee. Top stars showed up at the VIP premiere to show support for the cast includingGirls Generation's Sooyoung, Lee Min Ho, Yeo Jin Goo, Nam Bora, Kim Yoo Jung, Kim So Hyun and more. It is especially great to see most of the child cast members from "The Moon that Embraces The Sun" attend to support their past co-star, Jin Ji Hee.

"Doomsday Book" will hit theaters on April 5.

Sooyoung is a lovely spring lady in flower-print, high-waisted capri pants and a hot pink blouse.

Nam Bora also sports soft pastel colors for the spring season.

Ever since I saw his awesome portrayal in A Story of a Man, I have been waiting for Kim Kang Woo to appear in new dramas/movies so this news make me really excited. I hope The Taste of Money will not have any explicit sexual content in it since that factor always ruined any K-movies for me. And I can sense that The Doomsday Book gonna be an awesome movie with brilliant script & plots. :D

I've been brought out in an environment that teaches high moral values thus watching people having sex in films really grossed me out. And can you imagine how uncomfortable it is when you watch it with your siblings/friends? Good film with brilliant story doesn't need sex to sell -- I hope Korean filmmakers gonna realize this fact one day...

It's not only about sex that sells. Sex scenes can also be part of the artistic project of a movie. Korean directors are also using it that way so they're not gonna stop any time soon. And sex isn't immoral.

I know what you mean. I'm not naive to think that Korean Directors will stop soon. But when they try to put sex or other explicit scenes in a story like 'Mother' it just make you facepalm hard. Sometimes, you just feel like they really sick for turning an innocent story with that kind of scenes. I have plenty of examples where nudity & sex are not needed in the movies' storylines AT ALL. And of course, sex is not immoral. But the context(?) of how the film industry using 'sex' is immoral most of the times.

Movies are almost a safe haven for realism, films tell/show the story they want. I honestly enjoy realism in films. Do you like violence, drugs, death, sorrow, joy? They are all part of life, a brilliant story never leaves them out. You are right films don't need sex to sell, most brilliant stories aren't trying to sell you sex in the first place. They are trying to tell a story, make a connection but if one only sees it as sex then that movie probably isn't for you and the story is lost.
To answer your question, no it's not uncomfortable. Oh morals
Everyone has their comfort level.
You should check out Bollywood films, they have good moral films they never have sex and never will.

I know what you mean, but when you watch a detective/thriller movies, you don't expect them to put any explicit sex scenes in them. Can you imagine if I watch those 'supposed innocent movies' with my family thinking its only a story about some kidnap children but they show the detective is having sex (very graphic) in the middle of the movie? I mean, I'm not watching a movies that have sex in the title or a movie title: 'The Housemaid' which you can expect some adult content, but just a simple adventure/thriller movies. DDDX
