EXO-K, Baekhyun-Chanyeol “We Even Shower Together”
Members Baekhyun and Chanyeol of SM Entertainment’s new male idol group EXO-K are drawing attention for revealing that they shower together.
The showcase for EXO-K and EXO-M was held on the evening of the 31st at the Olympic Hall of the Olympic Stadium in Seoul. At the showcase on this day, member Baekhyun shared about the members’ group dorm life saying “After rehearsal ends I shower with Chanyeol at the dorm” and revealed “After the shower ends we look in the mirror and practice our CF expressions.” They truthfully revealed “Later on we want to appear makeup or other diverse CFs.”
EXO-K and EXO-M will hold their Chinese showcase on April 1st at China’s University of International Business and Economics in Bejing and will also officially debut in China, and their mini album “MAMA” will be released on April 9th simultaneously in Korea and China.
Meanwhile Super Junior’s Leeteuk hosted the showcase and Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Hyoyeon and f(x)’s Sulli and Amber appeared at the scene to give support.

EXO member Baekhyun revealed an episode from their dorm.
During the EXO-K and EXO-M showcase/press conference held on the 31st at 5:00pm at the Olympic Hall of Seoul’s Olympic Stadium, he earned loud cheers as he said “After rehearsal ends I always wash up with Sehun.”
Baekhyun caused laughter as he said “But don’t imagine anything weird…” and “In preparation of any future Cfs we may shoot, we practice in front of the mirror.” Baekhyun said “It’s not completely serious. We practice jokingly.”

Q. What are your thoughts now that you’ve gone through the showcase?
A. With today as the beginning, we will work harder and put forth more effort to show impressive performances. (Suho)
Q. What was the most difficult in rehearsing?
A. As we have twelve members, it was difficult matching detailed movements during group practice. (Baekhyun)
Q. A hundred days have passed since your teaser was revealed. How did you feel?
A. It was regretful that we couldn’t have direct communication with the audience and we also felt anxious because we couldn’t meet directly with fans to see what they thought of us. However, with the thought of informing not only Korean fans but international fans online, we think it was joyful as we monitored. As the showcase date approached closer and closer we worked hard thinking that we have to show an impressive image. (Kris)
Q. I think that the feel of the first performance will be novel.
A. Until now we have met with fans online through teasers, but now that we’re meeting with audiences directly we’re shaky and nervous. I think we feel pressure. (Suho)
Q. You are debuting simultaneously in Korea and China. Is there any competition between the two teams?
A. We think that it’s groundbreaking. We like that we are able to approach with a new method. We think that EXO-K and EXO-M competed with good intentions. We monitored each other and pointed out bad habits and cheered each other on a lot. (Suho)
Q. What is a strength of EXO?
A. We sing one song in Korean and in Chinese. We think of that as our greatest strength and weapon. We are twelve. Also, we are a team made of Korean and Chinese members. We think of that as being a special point. (Chanyeol)
Q. A memorable point among the advice your seniors gave you?
A. Leeteuk sunbaenim always tells us lots of good things. He speaks a lot of the qualifications of a leader and about teamwork. (Suho) U-know Yunho sunbaenim helped us a lot with dance rehearsal. (Kris) Leeteuk sunbaenim’s advice about grouping closely together is the most memorable. (Chanyeol) Leeteuk sunbaenim told us that while it is inevitable that a person’s feelings will change, our feelings for one another shouldn’t and that we should group together tightly and do well for a long, long time. Q. What is EXO’s goal?
A. It is to make our music known not only in Korea and in China, but globally. (Suho) Later on we want to perform standing on stage together with our seniors. We will work hard in order to be able to stand together shoulder-to-shhoulder. (Baekhyun)
Q. You have many members. How does leader Suho maintain teamwork?
A. Every week on Saturday night we hold a family meeting. Because we can’t converse that often with EXO-M, I exchange constant dialogue with EXO-M’s team leader Kris. (Suho)
Q. Regarding variety, which program do you feel greed towards?
A. I want to appear on SBS’s Strong Heart with Leeteuk sunbaenim. (Baekhyun) I want to guest on SBS’s Good Sunday-Running Man, a program that I personally like, and do a broadcast with Yoo Jaesuk sunbaenim. (Chanyeol) I want to stand on a music program with U-Know Yunho sunbaenim. He is a person from whom there is much to learn. (Kai)
Q. Please give an introduction to title song MAMA.
A. We first heard the song three months ago. Because it is an imposing piece with an orchestra accompaniment, we think that it is music that can ring in the hearts of many people. We also think that good things can come performance-wise.
Q. Please inform us about your promotional tactics.
A. The twelve members may perform for special stages or ceremonies, or a few members may hold unit activities, or all twelve members may be together. Being able to hold diverse activities is a strength of our team.
Q. Your resolution for the future?
A. Our aim is to give more than we receive. Typically when you think of celebrities you just think of the things they receive, but we want to become a group which gives. (Suho) All of EXO will create good music together and work hard in order for the whole world to know of our music. (Kris)
