Ok ladies and gentlemen, I wanna thank you guys for joining this community! OMNTD reached +400 members, +300 posts and almost 10000 comments but.. IDK if I'll sound like a total bitch:

- Don't be afraid to make posts, if you don't want OMNTD to die/delete/close without a reason, you need to submit posts! Just be sure to follow the rules.
- COMMENT FOR THE GOD'S SAKE D:< I can't believe every post gets 10-20 comments. Comments make OMNTD very happy!
- Please resize your teaser images. 550x550 is the limit.

why am i making a mod post you ask?
well my omona mod ship mates and i wanted to address an interesting subject to you.
what is this subject you ask?
well i will tell you.

this place is new, but already quite successful. but when i flip through the pages i mostly see the usual suspects posting.
but we really want this place to grow and make it a pants-jizzing experience for everyone!
so what i'm trying to say is:
MAKE MORE POSTS!

back in the days of ontd (ha.) it took me forever to even post once. thanks to shanny i finally did.
what held me back?
well i was too shy and thought i wasn't important enough to make my own threads.
what a dumbnut i was.
ontd wouldn't be the place it is today without the members D: so we need YOU to make posts!



don't be shy, really. look for english k-pop news sites, copy the content, add a source and voilà. or even better: if you know korean, go to korean newssites and translate yourselves! you can even add your own comments, critics, etc. everything is allowed as long as your addressed subject hadn't already been posted and the credits/sources are correct. so if we reject your submission it's either one of these reasons or a html messup- but we will tell you! so please re-submit after correcting the mistakes mkai?

so please guys, post post post. it's not like we don't want to, it's just... it's so much more fun and speshul if EVERYONE is involved. we can't grow and become a better place if nobody but a few participate, right? =/ besides mama can't always be there. you'll have to go potty on your own.

Not really |: BOF posts and regular posts have the same amount of comments, but it's because BOF has a lot of news, IDK, when I have time to post I search about models, musicians, etc. But ppl started to love Korea news because of BOF tbh. We'll see when BOF ends.

I know I'm not alone in this, but I came over to omona because of the BoF pretties that showed up from time to time in ONTD, novemberdelight had linked to the comm in a comment somewhere in that ONTD abyss and I am woefully uneducated in all things omona.

Could we possibly have some FAQ-ish posts on music/dramas/culture/etc to give people like me that are so green a general idea of the splendor so we feel more comfortable interacting? FFA are great but I can see where lurkers might get intimidated and have no idea what we are talking about.

Well, you dont have to post just articles. You can post recent episodes of variety shows. It's better if they have english subs though. And if you see candid shots of celebs you can post those too. If you see someone wearing something really haggard you can make a guess who post :P hahaha.

I'm still amused (and slightly disturbed) how my SHINee jailbait post managed to get over 100 comments. But anyhow, this community will need to get much bigger in order to get more comments as the majority of members will always stay as lurkers. And as the truth is that the most of the kpop culture fans in LJ haven't even heard about this place, maybe you could advertise it in some Korean/Asian entertainment related communities such as:

I think that with all the eyes we have here at omona we could cram a lot more posts into one day and with more variety. If people post about their favorite celebs they will most likely know a lot more details about them than say me who is just looking for some articles to post. Or if they visit fansites/homepage they might pick up some news that otherwise isn't being posted on other korean news pages.

Also does anyone know any good sites were can get candid shots from? I think we need more candids of our celebs.
