while spazzing out over the rest the onkey part made me really thoughtful :'( like i know they all can't be best friends but when i listen to the other members' insight that they are having kind of a strategic partnership it feels so weird to me after having been living together for 7 years and not getting that close. i think there's still the hyung/dongsaeng relationship involved but it's not only today that i get kind of a distant vibe from both of them (like key is looking to the cam instead of onew and onew is per se very quiet and introverted, especially today). okay i might be in an emotional state rn ;A; and the music in the bg didn't help at all! the statement about they're having a strategic relationship took me offguard tbh...I always thought they were closed, maybe not as closed as Jongkey or Ontae but one of the closest among members.
This made me think that maybe in the end of the day, they are nothing but co-workers. We just interpreten things too much with our OTP, family-like relationship and all the brotherships

well i do think that they're really like brothers... but their level of closeness with each other varies, like what you see between taemin and onew, you cant see it with taemin ang jonghyun. put it like this - even though you have siblings (which you have been living with for like eternity), you have still friends outside your home, right? =) just like key to other 91ers or onew with lee joon, junhyung,etc... i think that is what supposed to be meant there. not like their off or something. and key always looks at the camera like the camwhore he is.. LOLs.. i think key would even say it himself that onew is just a co-worker to him since he's too straightforward... but i haven't heard it from him so.. yeah.. ^-^

tbh family members can get distant/estranged for long periods or permanently anyway, and i always think 'family' is a more sensible 'model' for looking at relationships in these kinds of groups than anything else, especially anything romantic.

Assuming that the Onew-Key thing isn't scripted, I can actually see why they wouldn't be close privately. Key's brand of out-there-ness might be a little too much for Onew, especially in large doses.
