B1A4 Wants More Awards

The popular male group, B1A4 (Jinyoung, Baro, Sandeul, CNU, Gongchan) revealed their thoughts on their comeback.

On the KBS 2TV ‘Music Bank’ live broadcast aired on the 16th, B1A4 appeared and showed a comeback stage by passionately singing their new songs, ‘This Time Is Over’ and ‘Baby I’m Sorry’.

On this broadcast, they showed fierce masculinity that has been hidden till now, through their impressive performance and explosive singing abilities.

In the interview with dongA.com, B1A4 started off with, “Since we’re having our comeback again on stage, the feeling is new,” and, “We want to show our own colors in this promotion as well.”

They added, “In this album, there’s a certain sad feeling that we can express. And we will show a more matured side to us than before,” and, “Although we received the newcomer award last year, our goal this year is to be awarded with a Bonsang during the end-of-the-year awards and to get first place on a music broadcast. We will work hard. We hope that you could love us a lot.”

Also, B1A4’s title song, ‘Baby I’m Sorry’, was written, composed, and produced by their leader, Jinyoung. It’s a song with an addictive strong melody along with their charisma-filled masculine image that coexists with a fresh boy image.

On this day’s broadcast, there was John Park, MBLAQ, Ailee, FT Island, Miss A, K.Will, 2AM, Stellar, Jiggy Dog, Yeon Jihoo, NU’EST, Bohemian, WE, Tony & SMASH, Fat Cat, M4, Lyn, Nine Muses, EXID, B1A4, Dalshabet, and Brave Girls.

Ugh, I know. I kind of wish they had put off the comeback until later, because the competition is just too tough, and it makes me sooo sad, because they TOTALLY deserve a win! I mean, Jinyoung wrote and composed and produced Baby I'm Sorry! That's so deserving of recognition as well as their talents. :(

Idk if it's a good thing that they've won lots of 'big' awards but none on music shows, people seem to place more emphasis on the latter. I hope they get their first win within the year. They really deserve it.

I think they can do it. Probably not this promotional round, but this one will definitely boost their popularity and have more people take notice, so I think they can accomplish it by the end of the year.

Yeah, I know fans want them to win as a 1 year anniversary present thing but even if it doesn't happen now, it'll definitely happen in the near future.

It would be amazing if they could get it for the 1 year anniversary, but they would have to pull a big upset to do that. There's just too many big artists having comebacks right now. Though, didn't Infinite win their first #1 like a month or so after they started promotions? I guess if B1A4 can build up momentum, maybe. But doubtful. But I 100% think they will get a #1 this year. I think they'll stay in Japan over the summer, and then have another comeback in the beginning of the fall in Korea. And I think they could probably win an album bonsang at one of the year end award shows, their album sales kick some of the veteran's asses. Lol.

Are their digital sales still as weak as before? I know they have good physical sales but how are they supposed to win if their physical albums haven't been released? ;_; I'm hoping they can pull an Infinite but with Shinee and Shinhwa's comeback... But besides that I have a really good feeling about them this year.

Nooo. They're digital sales have increased drastically since Beautiful Target. For example, This Time is Over has been released for a week, it charted at #44, their highest chart position so far ever, and the rough sales off the digital aggregate numbers was around $20,000 for one week. That's almost half what Beautiful Target did in 4 weeks of sales. And that wasn't even their title track.

Baby I'm Sorry has pretty much been charting real time in the 20's to 10's positions on melon and bugs, and in the top 50 for olleh. Mnet's still all over the place. lol. But I expect them to chart somewhere in the 20's this week on Gaon and for their sales to be the best yet for the first week. I think they will easily double Beautiful Target's sales and go beyond that.

Comeback was gr8 but still can't really hear anything over the stupid auto-tune I will never ever forgive Jinyoung for this. He is trigger-happy with effects or some shit. Anyway, song is catchy as hell. This Time is Over perf was so beautiful ;aaa; k
