Teen Top‘s popularity in Taiwan has caused what could have been a serious accident.

On March 11, Teen Top was in Taiwan for a fan meet. The fans had followed them around all day via taxis and private cars. On the way to the location for the event, some of the taxis following the boys slipped on the wet road and collided with each other, halting traffic. It took a while for the roads to be cleared.

Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. The members of Teen Top stayed on the scene until they were able to reassure fans that everything was alright, then headed to the event hall where over 2,000 fans had gathered to see them.

Local media outlets gave the group many good reviews and compliments.

Teen Top’s popularity has been steadily rising not only in Asia, but also in Europe and America.

Koreans fans can get just as bad. Most car accidents idols are involved in are due to fans and the drivers of the taxis.

The same day they won their first award, he was wearing a cast that looked like a glove and so people didn't notice.

But they were in Taiwan.. so i assume they were Taiwanese, unless their Koreans fans flew there to keep on stalking (i wouldn't doubt it though)

this is getting so ridiculous...
not only are they endangering the lives of the idols they claim to love, but also themselves and everyone around them :/

yeah. When 2NE1 was in Vietnam (or was it Singapore) I was scared for them when I saw all those vista/scooter riding fans following them everywhere. and even in the philippines when those fans surrounded them. ugh... fans need to learn how to give their idols space and privacy to actually enjoy the place. This is why only in Japan can the girls actually go out by themselves and enjoy.

Anyways, I'm glad Teen Top are okay.

Horror of having stans. They think they can do whatever to see Oppa.

"Teen Top’s popularity has been steadily rising not only in Asia, but also in Europe and America."

Silly thing to write in this article, esp since it's rather false.

Yeah- I went to see this event and there were people passing out business cards for "chasing service" at the airport- basically you can hire a driver for the day and they will follow the celebrity everywhere and "guarantee" that you'll see the celebs. I think it was in an article posted here that the same type of special taxi-for-hire exists in Korea, like there's an established business model. In Japan some K-Pop group's fans got banned from events for pursuing the idols via taxi so it's kind of everywhere.

Sasaengs are ridiculous in any situation, when anybody has them, but Teen Top is so young and ill-equipped for this kind of thing that it feels even worse.

As a DBSK fan, it makes me sick that small-minded 'fangirls' follow their 'hearts and hormones' to do this, all under the guise that they have a 'right to see their oppas.' Why does no one give fangirls a "DO NOT STALK 101" instruction manual?

I think I read a tweet about Teen Top not being involved in the accident. Only some of the fangirls.

But this is still creepy.
After Changjo broke his arm because a fan pushed him, I'm starting to think that even Teen Top may have their sasaeng fans.
Poor boys.
