T-ara signs a commercial contract worth 1 billion won

Recently, T-ara signed a commercial contract worth 1 billion won. This is the greatest amount of money that an “idol” group has ever been on contract in history.

Core Contents Media, T-ara’s agency, said on February 6, “T-ara was guaranteed with the most shocking amount of money in the world of ‘idols’ and signed a contract with the Gibalhan Chicken for a year.” In addition to 1 billion won on the contract, the group will receive royalty fees of every franchise the company owns, rising as a hot issue in the industry.


The Gibalhan Chicken says, “When we were looking for an exclusive model for our company, we found T-ara. It has gathered many fans in different age groups, from teenagers to the ones in their sixties, with their songs ‘Roly Poly,’ ‘Cry Cry,’ ‘We Were In Love,’ and ‘Lovey Dovey.’ The group has a popular image, and that’s why we have chosen this group.”

T-ara says that they will break the old tradition and come up with a brand-new style of commercial for fried-chickens appealing a friendly image like a family. They are also planning on holding many events, and one of them will be an autograph session at one of the finest franchises of the Gibalhan Chicken.

Meanwhile, T-ara will release its third single Roly Poly in Japan on February 29 and focus on their activities in Japan for a month from February 16.

T-ara has been chosen as advertising models for the outdoor clothing brand Wild Roses.

T-ara is popular through music, dramas, movies and variety and because of that they have became the models for the Wild Roses brand. As models, T-ara will help increase awareness for the brand and expand the audience.


Wild Roses' CEO Yoo Jiho said, "T-ara was chosen as models because of the fashionable image of T-ara as well as their individual personalities which fit well with the concept of Wild Roses brand. Wild Roses chose young stars to represent us because of our young, sporty and fashionable style."

Beginning next month, T-ara will begin as models and shooting ads for Wild Roses.
