I've always heard that yoga or any other form of meditation, opens up the soul for an attack by demons. It's a recurring theme in many Christian doctrines. I remember my sister having to read This Present Darkness in school (she went to an Evangelical high school) and I usually stole anything she was reading when she was done and read it myself. Not to spoil the book in case you want to read it ;), but there is one character who totally fucked up her life and did some horrible shit, and you find out she used to meditate with a spiritual enlightenment group she belonged to, which was really a bunch of Satanists, and she was possessed during meditation, which caused her to murder her baby. I've always thought this was BS, and it always bothered me, so when I was a psych student at a Baptist college, I did my thesis on incorporating Christian imagery into meditation techniques.
