After more than 30 hours of flight in which they had to spend more than 10 hours at the LAX airport in Los Angeles due to the delay of their plane, JYJ members finally arrived at the Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez airport in Chile.

Fans who were waiting for the trio since the early hours of the morning on March 7, waited for their arrival to the airport at 4:30 am in the morning of March 8.

When JYJ finally got off the plane, fans started screaming in excitement and the order they previously established to receive the members became utter chaos. All of the fans tried to reach the members and touch them, causing the managers and staff to take the members out of the airport as soon as possible.

Later that same day, after getting some rest from the hours of flight, the group held a press conference at 4:00 pm at the Hotel W in Santiago. The members expressed how thankful they felt for the warm welcoming to their country. They also said that they were surprised by Chilean manners and that they were really happy to be in Chile.

The press asked them their impression on their fans, to which Yoochun turned off his microphone and let Jaejoong answer the question. He answered that they were really surprised because in Chile (and most countries in Latin America) people say 'Hi' with a kiss on their cheeks. As a funny fact, upon their arrival, Jaejoong got kissed by a male fan and while laughing he said, "I couldn't reject him because he was so much taller than me" causing the other two members to laugh at him.

Then they got asked about their thoughts on music piracy. Junsu answered, "We think music is a language that unites us all." They spoke about their feelings on doing a song in the Spanish language. Also, they expressed they were really amazed by the view from their hotel and that Chile has an amazing scenery (more specifically the Andes Mountains).

When talking about their Sasaeng fans ... (Read more about that here.)

For their stay in Chile, JYJ arrived at the country with 40 korean journalists to cover their short stay and to record their concert that is scheduled on March 9. They also requested the presence of a Chilean chef to taste the traditional food of the country and also a Korean chef so they wouldn't miss their korean food too much.

JYJ will hold their concert in Chile by March 9 and then they will travel to Peru on March 11.

Where are you from? How did you felt about the kiss on the cheek + hug for (in general) closer friends in Argentina?

I have to admit that when I went to spain, at first, I felt a bit awkward with the 2 kisses, so I'd have felt very unconfortable with the 3 kisses xD (that being argentinean and being used to kisses on the cheek and hugs xD).

"but when you have to kiss multiple times, you pass SO CLOSE in front of the other person's face that it can be kind of unnerving, I guess?"

Yeah, I totally understand that. That's why I felt unconfortable when I was in Spain and I had to kiss two times (and they were all my uncles and aunts, I can't imagine how I would have felt having to kiss a strange 2 times). Even here in Argentina I have to kiss 2 times all of my spanish granma's friends (the're all spanish elders who left Spain during the civil war so they keep mostly of their customs)) and I still dont like that, for me it's too much time in contact with other's face xD.

Still a bit of a No No at the kissing part but yeah..

In the Netherlands we do it 3 times when I go to a birthday I have to kiss and say Hi to everyone there's almost 20 persons each or more thats over 60 kisses thats why I come later and just say "HI HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!" :|

I hate that as well. I used to live in Chile and whenever we'd go out with a group of friends, you'd have to go around the table kissing EVERYONE.

Take this as a holiday and have fun (cause Korea is going to be shitty).
Kissing is too weird for me....Yuck. I just don't get why you want to be that close to a stranger and their germs. Who knows where they have been. I don't like getting close like that to people.

I always try to resist the urge to wipe my hands as soon as I let go of their hands. The first opportunity though, I do. I will even wash my hands if possible. It is just that you never know where people's hands have been and even though our bodies are euiped to deal with most things, I still find it disgusting.

I'm confused. Are we just going to pretend they're not involved in a massive scandal back home? Did they ever deny that the voices on the tapes were theirs?

...OT but I'm surprised Chile has the same anti-personal-space greetings as Brazil does. I didn't know that.

In mostly of latinamerican countries (if not all) you say hi and goodbye kissing on the cheek (and hugging if you are close friends), in general, just change the number of kisses xD.

BTW, I'm from Argentina.

Lol, as far as I know (as I read this on twitter from the girls going to the concert and the ones who went to the airport too) the kiss was from this dude who jumped on him not in a greeting fashion. I will just say he might be WAY too excited, I mean, this is first time a kpop group has visited our country so I totally get his reaction.

When girls meet we greet eachother with a kiss in the cheek, same when a girl meets a guys, but among guys the common thing is a handshake though the kiss on the cheek can happen between close friends.

Glad they are happy to be here!

2)The Andes are really beautiful, they could come back some day in the future and travel through the Andes by bus. It's tiring but extremelly beautiful. I know it very well since I live near them.

I'd say Jae probably coped better with being kissed like that than most Scottish guys when they go abroad and get this kind of greeting hahaha...random thought but oh so true. Personally I'd be delighted if we all gave each other (though I'm talking friends etc, not just random people lol) a kiss on the cheek as a greeting, I loved it when I was in Italy.
