Han Heejun performs a soothing rendition of "All In Love Is Fair" by Stevie Wonder on American Idol

Korean Han Heejun has captured not only the attention of America, but Korea as well, following his amazing audition for the popular audition show, "American Idol." The FOX show is currently airing its 11th season with Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as the 3 main judges.

After facing difficulty through Hollywood week and the Las Vegas rounds, Han Heejun became the first Korean to make it to the Top 13 of American Idol, where the remaining contestants sing their heart out according to that episode's theme, live in front of millions of people.

On March 7th, the Top 13 performed songs by the late Whitney Houston (girls) and Stevie Wonder (guys), and was mentored by Mary J. Blige and music producer Jimmy Iovine. She commented, "First of all, he caught me off guard, I wasn't expecting Heejun to sound like he did."

He further captures his weekly mentors' heart by presenting them with an autograph photo of himself, Jimmy Iovine laughingly noting that Han Heejun has written on Mary J. Blige's photo, "I love you more than Jimmy."

Tonight, Han Heejun captured his audience with a beautiful rendition of Stevie Wonder's "All In Love Is Fair."

After he was done with his captivating performance, Jennifer Lopez comments, "I love you. I love you, I loved you from the first time you sang for me and I still love you now."

Randy Jackson said, "Dude, it wasn't perfect, but it was really good."

I love that Phillip was the one to congratulate him when he made top 24. But besides their bromance and his awesomeness in areas outside singing, that're really the most interesting thing about him because his performances thus far have been boring and sucky.

This is the first season I've been excited for since Adam Lambert. I'm so glad Heejun's chocolate vocals made it to the top 12. Now with the power of netizens, it'll be hard for him to get voted out XD. I hope he continues to pick better and better songs to show off his vocals. I'm rooting for quite a few this year: Heejun, DeAndre(#1), Philip2, Jessica Sanchez, and though the others are really good, I'll be okay if they don't make it to the top 3.

Ugh, I love him sfm. Honestly though, I'm absolutely shocked that has gotten this far, because this show is notorious for kicking off minorities quite early on in the competition. I almost want him to pursue a career in Korea instead of the US because I feel that he could go a lot further there. Anyway, his personality is beyond amazing and the vibrato in his voice is TO DIE FOR. I love him♥

This is true, but seven of the ten winners are white (one of remaining three, Jordin Sparks, is biracial, being half white and half black). That's still an overwhelming majority. Also, the judges tend to whittle the pool down to mainly white contestants even before the stage where public voting starts.

man, even if he doesn't make it to win it, he'll def make a career out of this in Korea...

but the said thing is...the agencies will make him lose his baby fat =/ but he's cute the way he is.
