BIGBANG G-Dragon and TOP Collaborates with British Singer-Songwriter Pixie Lott

It’s been belatedly announced that BIGBANG’s G-Dragon (GD) and TOP will be featuring on British singer-songwriter Pixie Lott’s track “Dancing on My Own.” Pixie Lott will release a Japanese edition of her album "Young Foolish Happy" worldwide by the end of this month, and one of her tracks, "Dancing on My Own," will feature raps by G-Dragon and TOP.

Earlier today, YG Entertainment officials confirmed, “It’s true that G-Dragon and TOP worked with Pixie Lott. It was more than a featuring, it was almost like a duet. Pixie Lott’s agency and YG Entertainment have been acquaintances. Pixie Lott came across G-Dragon and TOP’s music through YouTube, she enjoyed them so much, and that’s how this collaboration started.” They added, “This is only the beginning, from now on, YG artists will continue to work with international artists.”

i don't know pixie lott, but a collab with an established (western) artist is a good way to introduce new (korean) artist into the western market...rather than unleashing an english album while you continue to be irrelevant to the majority of the market. this is usually how most new artists are introduced to gain some buzz (lana del ray, rhianna, keisha, etc).

i'm curious how will. i. am. and YG will let the 2ne1 english album play out...will one or the group be featured on another artists' song...or will they just drop it with strong promos. (cause i can't see YG pulling an SMe and release an album, do a fan-sign, two shows for the hype then disappear).

But I agree it's way more effective than some random english release.
