Shinhwa Eric, "This luxury was not made overnight"
Celebrating their 14th Anniversary, South Korea's longes-running idol group shows off their pride.
On March 5, on the 3rd floor of CGV Sinsa Cheongdam Cine City in Kangnam Seoul, group Shinhwa held their 14th Anniversry press conference. Member Eric said, "This luxury wasn't created overnight"
Shinhwa members established "Shinhwa Company" , CEO Eric said, "I am very proud and thankful", refering to Shinhwa's comeback.
Eric continued, "I would like to thank SM Entertainment Lee Su Man, the six of us wouldn't have been together and made it if it wasn't for him". "To the Entertainment Industry, the media, thank you". "To the fans who have supported us for the past 14 years and believed in us, the members, thank you".
Eric continued, "In these 14 years, and in the future I wish I can remain as Shinhwa", "This luxury wasn't created overnight, it was made over time. Although, it has been a long time I want to show that I can still shine".
Group Shinhwa is returning with a 10th regular album. Lee Min Woo said, "Shinhwa's new album will have many styles". The album thoght was unconditional, because we wanted to satisfy the ears of the fans who waited for such a long time, the album was recorded with a lot of love, keeping the fans in mind".
Eric followed, "The album recording deadline was met exactly as planned". "We worked with a lot of enthusiasm". "
Lee Min Woo continued, "Shinhwa's color was able to be maintained, each song has it's charm". Also, expect the title track to be as nice".
This '1st generation idol' debuted in March of 1998, Shinhwa's Eric, Lee Min woo, Kim Dong Wan, Shin Hye Sung, Jun Jin and Andy have already finished their military duties. They are coming back together once again after 4 years of hiatus with a new album.
The album consists of a total of 11 tracks, with the participation of composers Kim Do Hyeon and Jeong Jae Yoon, and the participation of international artist Andrew Jackson. Members were also directly involved in the lyrics and music.
Shinhwa will be holding their 14th Anniversary concert titled "THE RETURN' on March 24-25 at the Seoul Olympic Park Stadium in Seoul, followed by an Asia tour in Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand.
Former H.O.T members Kang Ta & Tony jealous of Shinhwa’s comeback
Member Andy of legendary idol group Shinhwa who recently reunited for the first time in 4 years remarked, “H.O.T‘s Tony told me he was envious, and thanked us for making a comeback.”
On March 5th, Shinhwa held a press conference at M Cube in Seoul to officially announce their return to the music scene.
“In commemoration of our comeback, I sent Tony a text message,” Andy said. “He said he was really jealous, and thanked us for making a comeback on behalf of all the 1st generation idol groups.”
Fellow member Shin Hyesung also added, “Kang Ta also said that he was extremely envious.”
Shinhwa’s leader Eric stated in regards to his individual activities, “I want to become closer with the public through promotions with Shinhwa. My individual promotions are an after-thought at the moment and I will be focusing 100% on Shinhwa activities.”
Eric took a break from the music scene after Shinhwa released their 9th full-length album ‘Run‘ to focus on his individual activities, but has teamed up with Shinhwa once to again to release their 10th full-length album through CJ E&M. Their title song will include ‘electronica’, a musical genre the group has never attempted, and in addition to a brand new sound, they’re planning to return with some fresh new dance moves as well.
In related news, Shinhwa will be kicking off their concert ‘RETURN‘ in Seoul to celebrate their 14th anniversary. Once their Seoul show comes to an end, they will launch their ‘Asia Tour’ starting in April, traveling to Shanghai, Taiwan, Tokyo, Beijing, and more.
Shinhwa Expresses Affection Towards Girls’ Generation
The popular six member Korean group Shinhwa expressed their affection towards Girls’ Generation during their fourteenth anniversary comeback press conference.
On March 5th, at the CGV Chungdam Cine Center in Seoul, Shinhwa had their comeback press conference at Mcube. During the press conference, Shinhwa mentioned Girls’ Generation, who is currently under SM Entertainment, the same management company that they were once a part of.
Jun Jin stated, “When we were active with SM Entertainment, the members of Girls’ Generation were still trainees in elementary school. We are thankful the kids grew up so well. We have a special feeling for them, seeing how hard they are working.” He also added, “When Jessica and Hyoyeon were younger, they wrote letters for us. It’s kind of weird seeing them as grown ladies.”
Lee Minwoo stated, “I’m a fan of Girls’ Generation. I remember Hyoyeon in particular. When Hyoyeon was little, she danced really well despite her young age. At the time, BoA was promoting, and I was anticipating a second BoA. I’m happy to see that Hyoyeon has achieved her dreams.”
