2AM's 4th letter arrived. "The most important thing is never changed."

Yes! 2AM is a vocal band. And that is the most important thing about them. Thus the members and I postponed the release time twice to fully focus on making a good album even though we knew that people are waiting.

As you can see, the explanation about songs watching an artist interview film I think I don't need to add more explanation about that. I just want to tell you how we gathered and recorded songs for this upcoming album for people who wonder.

This album was supposed to be released in September 2011. But since then we got a few songs which we really wanted to put on the album. However the members and I were really anxious about that, we finally decided to focus on quality of the album more than keeping a deadline. And then we gathered songs again and again.....it was a long time for us to get the songs that we were all satisfied with. Frankly speaking, all the famous composers in Korea including me (Bang Shihyuk) & JYP gave more than one song for 2AM's album. And I want to thank every composer who gave songs at this time whether their songs are on the album or not.

As you can see the recording period on the film, this album's recording term is the longest and hardest one of all the other terms. Since the members and I wanted to go back to 1st stage like a new comer during this recording, 4 members were always together at the recording studio even though everybody was really busy for Asian promotion and personal activities like filming etc... because we believed that there could be chemistry in music which is not audible but important. So we put way more time and effort in recording than ordinary recording session. I'm definitely sure that you could listen to it through this album.

Now, 2AM will come back in a week. I believe that you guys will really love this album so much!

Summary from their fancafe: Pre-orders will take place on March 2nd, 2012 at 11AM KST for 2AM's "F.Scott Fitzgerald's Way to Love" digital mini album + digital photobook on Naver Music. It will be released at 12AM KST on March 12th, 2012. Details about the physical copy will be released soon on the Fancafe, but they did mention that the mini album will include a 72pg photobook + individual member photos, all in a special box! :)

The 3rd letter of 2am is just opened in a fashion film form.
Actually, the normal man usually wears totally different clothes depending on whether he is going out with someone or not, unless he has his own unique style.

Thus comming 2AM’s style concept contains consideration about what a man wears after breaking up..
The man who cannot forget his past love…
But the man who should live his normal life….

I asked Cheil Industries MVIO’s creative director Sanghyuk Han to solve this man’s struggle with what to wear. Sanghyuk Han is evaluated as a designer who conveys the best conceptual fashion show and collections in Korea. Thus, I thought he is the perfect designer to show off 2AM’s new style concept.

I convey designer Sanghyuk Han’s words below since he is the professional in this field.

2AM’s dress features and its concept.
I wanted to express masculine tailoring which keeps to the basics but is not any typical classic or old-fashioned clothes at the same time. I focused on expressing feeling of urbaneness and refinement.

Meeting with 2AM during the working on their dresses.
They made me feel warm with their friendly personality and big smile. I was surprised with their harmony even though each member has distinctly different characteristics. One had March-like fresh feeling and one had passion like hot summer in July.

The hardest part.
To understand four members’ different body type and find the right silhouette was the most difficult part in the process. It was not easy to make harmony with 4 members as expressing each one’s characteristics and looking natural.

The most emphasized part.
Looking good in stage is important thing, but I was more expected that 2AM could have commune with their dresses. Thus, I wanted to make normal dresses that 2AM could wear in their normal life and could express their sophisticated senses as wearing that dresses. I did not want that my dresses are just limited in the stage costumes.
This is why I composed almost every items that dress-up man should have own, such as suit, casual jacket, tailored coat and trench coat that are fit perfectly on each members.
Although they may not capture one’s eyes right away when they compare with other idol’s stage costumes, I believe that the fans can feel more luxurious and exclusive 2AM through their perfectly fitted dresses that the best tailor made, with the best material and the latest-trend leather details.

The dress materials
The highest quality wool is based on my dresses, but I put the leather materials here and there since it is very trendy these days. I try to express though my dresses that the man who conceals his hurt with straightforward silhouette and minimal fit since these designs could communicate with sense of heaviness and moderns.

Jil Sander’s designer Raf Simons said that the past male wore hard armor, but the present male expresses their masculinity with elegance clothes that is tailored perfectly fit to their body. (This phrase is re-translation of Korean translation. So could be little bit defferent from what he exactly said)

I imagine designer Sanghyuk Han’s dress is like an armor that embraces man’s sadness who has to live a life with his sorrowful heart.
