girl group c-real discusses their comeback concept

“Do you want to see a girl’s secret diary?”

Girl group C-REAL (Chemi, Redee, Effy, Ann J, and Lenny), whose average age is just over 17, is making a comeback only five months after they took their first step into the entertainment industry last October. Their second mini-album “Love Diary,” which will be released on March 7th, will shake the hearts of oppa and uncle fans alike.

The new release “Love Diary” is literally the story of a girl’s secret, hidden love. It’s the feeling of having butterflies in your stomach in front of the person you love.

“Our concept is like the secret diary of a girl. We thought of the feeling of a girl having butterflies in her stomach. Even the choreography has a sense of nervousness.”




Earlier on February 2nd, C-REAL released their title track “Joma Joma” (a Korean sound effect referring to anxiety or nervousness) simultaneously on major music sites as well as a teaser on YouTube. In the teaser video, C-REAL wears bling-bling tap shoes and performs a lively tap dance, boasting a cute but charming image.

“When we first debuted on stage last year, we were somewhat lacking in terms of expression. But in this album, we’re concentrating on expressing ourselves powerfully. If you look at the stage, it will be something that seems like it’s out of a musical like ‘Grease.’ Put simply, tap dancing in C-REAL’s secret weapon.”

In addition to the title track “Joma Joma,” the album also includes tracks like “Do you like me? Do you love me?” and “I Care About You,” including five tracks in total. Popular producer Choi Kap-won and composer Han Sangwon both participated in the creation of the album.



C-REAL are currently in full swing studying Japanese in preparation for overseas promotions. They are also working hard in hopes of earning #1 at this year’s music festivals. They talk about singing with a girl’s emotions, but it’s clear that they are ladies with a sense of purpose.

“This year we’ll definitely win #1 at a music program awards show. We’ll show you that these girls can do it. Please watch us!”

I loved their mini and I haven't heard Joma Joma, just the teaser, but I bet I'll love it.
Though I honestly don't remember them performing on any of the music shows so I'll have to go and look. ^^
