Jaehyo showed his filial love for his mother who had collapsed due to a brain hemorrhage.

On KBS2’s “Vitamin”, celebrity guests appeared and revealed their personal stories of their families’ struggles against illnesses. Jaehyo recalled his mother’s struggles against an illness at a young age.

The morning that Jaehyo left for a school field trip, he left after having a huge fight with his mother. “I called her because I felt sorrowful, but she didn’t pick up. I thought she was very angry,” Jaehyo began.

“That evening my teacher called me and said, ‘Go back home,’ and I immediately had a bad feeling about it,” he said.

He quickly went home and his whole family had gathered. His mother had collapsed due to a brain hemorrhage.

“My family thought that I would become shocked because I was so young, so they didn’t let me see my mother,” he said with a choked voice, “My mother was only 42 years old at that time.”

I agree with all this. My dad has way too many siblings who are always fighting. When my uncle died from cancer they started wailing their hearts out and I'm like...none of you visited him when he was still healthy enough to move. And suddenly when he's on his deathbed you wanna make amends? Sigh.

ugh amen to this. My family is similar to this too, and some aunts uncles still won't talk to other members etc. etc. it's so childish!! We're blood related, that should count for something!!! but they're so caught up in petty things!

It's so hard to love your family sometimes T_T there really isn't a word to describe them better than childish and petty. I know my dad's not bothered by it but I'm still pressed that my aunts told him that he caused my grandma to die. Who says things like that?!

Yeah my mom's a nurse and she took care of my grandma. Her death wasn't unexpected but it did happen quite suddenly, there was no way going to the hospital would have saved her. Of course, everyone else knows better than someone actually in healthcare -_-

We've all moved past that but who's to say they won't find something else to complain about and then regret later.

Same here. My uncles were nasty people and at the time my Grandad got ill, and he saw them do something bad and after that took a vow of silence out of shame while on his death bed. He never talked to them again and before they acted like they didn't care but then they begged and begged for forgiveness. Serves them right tho, they've changed alittle now thankfully but they treat my granny like crap. Awful kids.

I wonder if they know how their actions affect our grandparents :( My granny never said anything, she just quietly told my dad aka the only sane one that she just hoped everyone would get along one day.

I don't understand how some people can be so mean to the elderly. My friends were talking ill of their grandparents and I'm like...at least you have grandparents! Go give them a hug instead of complaining about them.

It's unfortunate it takes these kind of situations for us to really realize what's precious in life and holding grudges against those we love is one of the worst mistakes we can make.

I had to go through a serious surgery when I was 17 and since then I've been trying to not only not hold grudges, but make up for the harm I may have caused to my loved ones in the past.
