Singer IU‘s hot popularity was realized at a fansign recently.

Photographs from IU’s fansign event, which took place at a market in Gimpo, have been making their way one by one onto the internet.

In the photos, IU is wearing a pink knit sweater and is smiling cutely, showing a luminous beauty while carefully signing each autograph. In particular, one photo of a male fan who fell to his knees in front of IU has been evoking laughter among fans.

IU has tried to acknowledge them before (being reluctant to call out "oppa" too much for fear of alienating her unni fans, etc). She said that one of the very few times she cried on stage was because of a girl fan, and she remembered the name afterward too~

I will love "Mia" forever but in a way I'm glad it was a commercial flop because I don't think IU would be nearly the singer/idol she is today without that initial failure.
