Do Music Moguls know a secret about K-Pop?
An increasing number of American artists are being drawn to the culture and music of Asia with American artists beginning to collaborate with Korean pop groups. Will.i.am is producing tracks on 2NE1’s upcoming album, Kanye West worked with JYJ, and recently, the Wonder Girls opened for the Jonas Brothers. Could this be the year K-Pop breaks through into the American pop culture, or is K-pop exclusive only to an Asian population?
A few presenters set to discuss this topic will be Adam Ware (CEO of Mnet), Jeff Yang (Columnist of The Wall Street Journal), Flowsion Shekar (Founder and CEO of Koreaboo), Ted Kim (EVP, CJ), and David Zedeck (Booking Agent (Music), CAA).
