Girl group 5dolls has announced the surprise replacement of their leader. Soomi has left the group and is being replaced by a new member named Nayeon.
Core Contents Media said on the 17th, "Recently, Soomi made the decision to go solo so she decided to depart from the group."
Soomi was formerly Nam Gyuri's replacement in SeeYa, and then the leader of Coed and a member of 5dolls.
5dolls' new member Nayeon has an innocent charm and a compelling appearance. She turns 21 this year and during elementary school, she lived in the United States. She's fluent in English and knows five different instruments including piano, guitar and flute.
Core Contents Media said, "Nayeon was scouted by chance and now is a member of 5dolls. 5dolls will continue as 5-members: Nayeon, Hyoyoung, Hyewon, Chanmi, and Eunkyo.
5dolls has also changed agencies from Core Contents Media to GM Contents Media.
