"Ye Eun and Yenny are my names as a singer, but I wanted a name as a producer so after giving it a lot of thought, I chose ‘heartfelt’. The word meaning sincere and from the heart came to mind.” Although not everyone agreed with her on her name, so she moved it around a little bit.“However, there was some opinion saying that it was too feminine, so producer Park Jin Young suggested that I change the way I write it - according to the phonetic transcription. In American English, it was written Ha:rtfelt, and in the British English, it was Ha:tfelt. Since in America, Hot is pronounced Ha:t, Ha:t contains the double meaning of HEART and HOT!”
tl;dr she chose it because in IPA it can be interpreted as 'hot' in American English and 'heart' in British English
Beautiful song is beautiful and JYP still fails at giving WG a chance to showcase their musical talents right. I love that man, he's a hilarious actor and his promotion strategies ain't bad, but he really fails there.
I like it a lot. I envision it being on the OST of a coming-of-age film set in NYC.....which is really what the WG's lives are rn, aren't they? Really is heartfelt. Lame spelling but otherwise Yeeun picked the right name.
