Block B Club post!
2012-02-06 04:38 pmThe 7-member male group, Block B, has made their comeback with their new song “Go Crazy”, getting remarkable response from everyone. Their fan club, named “BBC”, is also standing out, drawing more attention.
Block B has been performing their comeback stages in music programs for four days now, leading them to be among the top searched in various portal sites and ranked first in SNS Worldwide topics as well as in Youtube, ranking after SNSD’s appearance in David Letterman’s show. Block B also managed to rank in iTunes’ hiphop chart, an exceptional feat that draws more attention to them.
Block B’s fans, BBCs, played a big role in the impressive growth of the group. The day when Block B had their comeback showcase, tickets were sold in just 27 seconds, and gathered 3,500 people to the venue, astounding many. BBCs also went to broadcasting stations’ boards, repeatedly writing requests for Block B’s appearance and fans were mainly focused in doing PR work for the group.
Also, on 4th February at MBC’s Show! Music Core, Block B opened the show with a cut performance of the song. In protest, BBCs went to MBC’s website and flooded the boards with numerous complaints against MBC’s decision to put Block B’s comeback performance as the opening stage.
BBCs are doing these things mainly because TV promotions for Block B haven’t gone smoothly and their fans are contributing greatly in spreading the word about Block B. BBC USA, BBC Japan, and other international fans are also helping out, showing how Block B is also popular overseas as they rank no. 1 in overseas sites as well.
The company and the fandom is very close to each other, Cho PD was the one who named the fan club ‘BBC’. Block B members and the company are all satisfied with the outcome and are now finding the way to reach the top. It’s also interesting to note that fans call Cho PD as “Fan Chairman”, instead of “CEO”.
Meanwhile, the title song in their mini album Welcome To The Block, “Go Crazy”, are making big waves in the music industry, drawing more attention to the Block B. (Photo Source: Brand New Stardom)
