10 women accuse Chris Golightly & his hair of sexual assault

Chris Golightly, the U.S. contestant from the Korean reality show “Superstar K,” has lashed out at a group of women who claimed the singer sexually assaulted them. Golightly took to his Facebook page on Thursday to defend himself, warning that if the women didn’t reveal “the truth,” he would release pictures of them online. He also dismissed rumors that he had left for the U.S.

“I did not leave Korea. .?.?. Show your faces, did I really hurt you? You lying trash. I can’t believe people believe such trash. People write and make up stuff then vanish, and you believe it .?.?. All this is defamation .?.?. only attack me? Because I’m a foreigner? wtf. I’ve been nice to everyone ... and this is how I’m treated,” Golightly wrote on Facebook.

Asia Economy had reported Jan. 30 that the entertainer was leaving Korea for the United States based on a status update on his Facebook page posted earlier that day.

The 10 alleged victims are considering legal recourse, claiming they suffered from mental distress as a result of Golightly’s actions.

I def can see koreans not being 100% on board with a foreigner. I got teased a lot for being half so....

I remember reading more detailed articles about this... the women claim that they were each told that they were "the only one" by Chris and that he loved them so they had sex with him.

As much as Chris seems like a douche, it seems trivial to call being "cheated on" sexual assualt. A slap in the face to rape victims perhaps?

I'm interested to see how the Korean law reacts to this.

If it's the case then the women have no right to say he sexually assaulted them since they had sex where both parties in mutual agreement. These women may have right to be pissed off by being played by a jerk but laundering him with sexual assault is serious business and should not be used in these circumstances.

Unless he raped you, you're a groupie who had consensual sex with your idol. That is not assault. It's also crass of him to threaten to release their photos.

And none of these girls claim he forced them to do anything. They claim that he lured them with promises of them being special, and played on their emotions as fans...in order to sleep with them. Then he moved on AKA he was lying, cheating a douche.

So they suffered mental damage because he just used them for sex and moved on...

Umm...none of that is "sexual assault" last I checked. What kind of foolishness is this? They are ruining someone's life with all of this..yeah a douches life...but still a person. And making a mockery of actual sexual assault.

they say he lured them in order to have sex with them and then crushed their hearts...
but it's not like they were his fans/in love with him because of his amazing personality, to start with.

The guy is a dick for "cheating" on 10 different women. But the sex sounds consensual in all 10 cases. These women got played - and that's it.


To be honest, I'm more disgusted with the women than Golightly in this case. Sexual Assault accusations are something that shouldn't be tossed out just because you feel like you got played by this guy. These women need to look at their life - look at their choices. Accusing someone of sexual assault is huge and it will remain with Golightly for a very long time - even if he is innocent. They damaged his reputation out of spite and while he may be an assehole, he is not a rapist. >:(

Consensual sex with someone who is unfaithful isn't sexual assault. It sucks, but it's wrong to point fingers and call it assault. Maybe the "sexual assault" part came from a mistranslation and the women only meant to say he wronged them... Maybe.

That said, threatening to release private photos makes him a douche. And IMO, releasing private photos without one party's consent is a form of sexual assault.

This guy has a history of deception (look up his American Idol disqualification story and read all sides of it). All his former agencies have nothing but negative things to say about him. So while nothing is proven, I believe the girls are telling the truth BUT they want compensation for what was obviously them being misled and lied to, not raped. They've already made it clear it was consensual.
