T-ara‘s Jiyeon shed tears on national television as she talked about the wounds she received from anti-fan comments.

On the February 2nd episode of ‘Joo Byung Jin’s Talk Concert‘, the hosts brought up the topic of anti-fan comments on the internet.

Jiyeon confessed, “It’s been so hard because of those anti-fans’ malicious comments… And I was so young…” At this, she burst into tears and couldn’t finish her sentence.

When she collected herself, she continued with a smile, “Even now, I avoid the internet whenever I can. However, I am going to stop avoiding it and face it head on. I will become braver.”

Another guest on the show, KARA‘s Jiyoung, revealed that she would seek out anti-fan comments online in order to gain motivation if she felt she was slacking.

Sorry I deleted my comment before I saw any replies but basically, in 2010, some webcam stripping videos surfaced of a girl who looked eerily similar to Jiyeon. CCM somehow managed to sweep the issue under the rug by having all the news articles pulled off the internet. Up to now, netizens aren't letting them get away with it and they bring up the topic every chance they get. I feel really bad for Jiyeon because what if it really wasn't her despite all the supposed evidence netizens have gathered. It's not like she can own up to something so private and embarrassing and she was so young at the time.

I always had the feeling that she was the victim in this story and I bloody hate the way CCM and just about everyone (including the fans) just didn't paid attention and were all "oh no big deal let's forget about it, past mistake it's allright". I mean come. on. As you pointed out it was feeling a lot like child pornongraphy. Was there any investigation? was there bloody anything? Was she forced to do it like it really seemed to?

the guy who released it had to pay a fine and he got taken to trial. idr if he was convicted or not but if he was he would get a few years in jail if he was. iirc the guys father ended up being one of the people who was investigating it. she wasn't forced either, she just joined some cam site and did it on her own when she was young (netizens found her account on the site too) and someone happened to save it, and years later he was probably going thru it when they realized it was her. the reason that part wasn't in the news is bc CCM already denied it was her and had the news agencies stop reporting on it completely.

It was a mistake, looking back I'm sure she regrets it but it was just a childish mistake and we all make mistakes especially when we're young.
If it was a video of a rape or murder would you still want to disregard the "let's forget about it" or would you want to keep bring up a traumatic experience? Everyone moved on except for some assholes who just talk shit all day, in the long run no one blamed her and went on with her life allowing her to go on with hers.

Like devilsatin just informed me, the news about the trial wasn't out because CCM anyway denied the all thing. Denied. I'm not talking about Jiyeon here (we all feel the same way about her reaction), I'm talking about people disregarding the all story and you coming with people talking about it being necessarly "jealous bitches". Because, you know, that's bloody logical insult in this case *insert sarcasm or whatever*.
