Battle's Zin Taehwa reveals M.E.N concept picture

Battle member Zin Taehwa revealed an interesting picture through his twitter account earlier today, revealing the full line-up of the soon to debut M.E.N through a concept picture.

Though more info still hasn't been revealed, the new group consists of 5 young guys, including Taehwa himself, actor Im Youngpil (Sungkyunkwan Scandal), Yoon Gwangsun, Park Jungjin (Former AST'1 leader) and Shim Jihwan (rapper of Typhoon). It is rumored that the group will only be promoting in Japan.

Zin Taehwa. Glad to see him still pursuing a singing career. I like his solo album he released a few years back. I love seeing people comeback stronger. I am talking to you, JTL, DBSK, Shinhwa. H.O.E. and every Korean music group I love. Keep making music and I will buy it.

Why? Shinhwa weren't their producers or their management.
That's like blaming the judges of "Superstar K" (and other similar shows) for the success/failure of the contestants.

I miss Battle too but blaming Shinhwa is just silly.

Battle had success what are u talking about, the reason why there's no more battle is because the company broke and even though they asked shinhwa boys for help they didn't do anything for them tbh.

So I guess u didn't follow battle or werent' around when they were a thing.

I never said they weren't successful. I've been following Kpop since 2006/2007 and I loved Battle's songs and kept waiting for them to make a comeback after "Step By Step", which was my favorite.

The main reason they weren't able to regroup was because Good Entertainment went broke before they could make their comeback. Then Hwichan & Lio went into the army, Taehwa went solo and Chris went back to the US. Why not blame the former Good Ent directors who went on to create Liveworks Entertainment and Open World Entertainment for not hiring Battle? When the Good Ent company assets were divided up, their group contract must have ended up in someone's hands. The rights to Shinhwa's name ended up with the Open World CEO so the rights to Battle's name/contract must be with one of those directors. Or maybe they considered Battle a liability and just dissolved the contract (if that's legal). I stopped following the fandom after Hwichan & Lio enlisted so I might have missed any new things that were revealed after that.

I never heard anything about them asking Shinhwa for help. Although I'm not sure what Shinhwa could have done since they went on army-hiatus in 2008 around the same time "Step By Step" was released. Could Shinhwa have done more? Probably. But there were a lot of other factors at play that prevented Battle from making a comeback.

Like I said, I might have missed something but I never got the feeling Battle blamed Shinhwa. Zin Taehwa released his solo album under Liveworks and even thanked Hyesung & Minwoo for their help and guidance: “Actually there’s a difference of about 10 years in age between myself and the Shinhwa hyungs, and even though we were in the same company it still wasn’t easy to overcome that. But during the preparation for my solo, they have been really friendly and kind to me and now I really have the feeling that they’re just like my family.”
