Focuses quite a bit on Rania and traditinal Korean music (and the effect some believe kpop is having on it)

I think the video parallels a global phenomena of modern trends obliterating traditions.

Also Joy speaking was adorable! lol, I was wondering who'd be the first Rania member to speak in English XP
OMG when Joy was talking about her mom I almost cried...

I like the defense to contracts: shit happens. LOL

The Yonsei professor is DEAD on about Kpop coming to american culture as of right now. But America is kind of VERY slowly opening up slightly. lol

AMEN to the indie band point!!!

Anyway, overall amazing video. Can't believe it's getting recognition in the middle east.

The report should have been in ARABIC !!
but yay for seeing anything about Kpop - or Korea in middle east TV .. <3
It was sad seeing joy talking about her family ;~; ..
and it's kinda true that Kpop have a short life cycle regards the songs !
but hey ! WE LOVE IT .. <3

This was a really good mini doc. I like hearing what actual Koreans are saying about the current k-wave. And there were a lot of good points.

Whats with the horrible dubbing ???

it's not really dubbing, in western television that's how they translate for foreign interviews

Yeah for some reason news producers think that it's important for translated speech to still have someone speaking with the accent of the language it's translated from, I never understood that

I felt bad for that chinese girl going for plastic surgery, she was already pretty and if she's not happy as she is she probably won't be after one round of surgery either, and will just keep going.

I love Al Jazeera. It makes me sad when people think they only cover Arab wars and revolutions (which are also interesting, but w/e).

This was the most balanced and interesting report on kpop I've seen in the mainstream media so far. I like that Joy was allowed to be so candid on camera.

I'd like to see a report about people like "Lee" in the future. I'm sure there are plenty other aspiring singers and actors stuck with an agency that don't use their talents but would sue them if they left :/
