Rather than a strong scent, I like to use perfumes that give you a fresh feeling.

Q5: If you were the group's maknae, what type of maknae do you think you'd be?
I can't be a cute maknae like Sungjong, right? Because it's difficult for me, that would be tough (laugh). Instead, shouldn't I be the kind of little brother who is considerate of his older brothers? Although, I was raised as a youngest child, so I'm actually more suited to be a maknae.

Woohyun's physical strength. Because he can complete the hard schedule.

Q3: What do you always find your eyes following lately?
Cars. Like if a really cool car passes by my eyes will follow it. If I were to buy a car, I'd want a convertible.

I like Versace Man Eau Fraiche.

Q5: When you dance, what kind of things are you thinking about?
On stage, I'm thinking that I have to give a good performance no matter what. When the song needs a particular image, a picture like from a scene from a movie will come to mind. For example, when we're doing "Paradise," I think of "I Am Sam." It's a sad story about him having to protect your child, so it has a similar feeling. For "Be Mine," we have a really strong image, so I think of Yoo Ah In's new movie Wandeuki and stuff.

Q6: You're well-known as a free spirit character, but in reality, is your personality different from that?
I'm a free spirit in reality too, so sometimes I do things that are so stupid they're being the members' imagination. Like after an event sometimes, I'll get left wandering around by myself. But since we've been together for two years now the members have gotten used to it, and it seems that now they just know what happened without panicking. Thanks to that I'm as much as a free spirit as usual.


Woohyun:

Q1: What part of your body do you have the most confidence in?
My collarbones and the line of my chest. The line of my chest is as deep as the Niagara Falls (laugh). I worked out really hard but I haven't been lately, so I have to start again.

Q2: What about the other members are you jealous of?
Sunggyu's knees. They're really pretty. Although I don't really know anything about them other than receiving his knee kicks. Ahahaha. (Even though he said he only does it to stuffed animals?) Ah, I guess I provide the service of a stuffed animal (laugh).

Q3: What do you always find your eyes following lately?
Video games. When a new game comes out, I get curious and want to try playing it. And lately there hasn't been time to exercise, so to relieve stress I stay in my room and play video games for one or two hours.

Q4: What type of scent do you like? If you use perfume, tell us what brand.
My favorite scent is strawberry.

Q5: Did being on the music program "Immortal Song 2" change you?
Hong Kyungmin was a particularly great influence, but since he's a perfectionist, it made me want to become like that too. During recording, rather than competing with the other singers, I tried to take their advice and encouragement and make myself better, so I was able to enjoy myself.

Q6: You seem like the type who is skilled no matter what he faces, but do you actually have some weak points?
Nope. I don't have any. Studies? Because even though I always kept my grades up I guess you can't really say they were great grades either. I guess I'm really just that skilled. I work with wisdom and absorb things quickly, and if you explain something two or three times then I can do anything. The secret is being able to concentrate fully on that one moment.


Hoya:

Q1: What part of your body do you have the most confidence in?
My palms. My lifeline is long, so I'll have a long life. (Looks at the palm of Sungjong who's next to him) Sungjong's life line is only up to here, so he'll live around 70 years. I'll live for 120 years!

Q2: What about the other members are you jealous of?
I'm probably most jealous of Dongwoo's firm buttocks. Sungyeol's height. L's eyes. And Sungjong has sexy lips.

Q3: What do you always find your eyes following lately?
My eyes follow cars now. Before, I wasn't interested in cars, but since Dongwoo likes them and talks about them all the time, from listening to him we start to pay attention to them. I want to get my license sometime.

Q4: What type of scent do you like? If you use perfume, tell us what brand.
I'm not wearing any cologne. Smells I like are things like ramen or meat—delicious smells.

Q5: What is your goal dance style or styles you want to try dancing from now on?
I want to try a b-boy style acrobatic dance or tumbling. I admire dancers like Omarion and Chris Brown. I like them because they're good at both singing and dancing.

Q6: You have a manly image, but are there times when a cute side of you naturally comes out?
When the members are just fooling around amongst ourselves, a side of me comes out that is kind of like a cute elementary school kid playing around. Recently we did a show called Birth of a Family where we raised puppies, and I thought, isn't the me who plays with puppies kind of cute?


Sungyeol:

Q1: What part of your body do you have the most confidence in?
My long slitted eyes. Because when I'm making a strong expression they still have a softness to them, and when I'm making a soft expression they still have strength.

Dongwoo's expressions.

Q3: What do you always find your eyes following lately?
Helicopters. I like radio-controlled helicopters. In Tokyo, I found a really cool one and bought it.
Dongwoo: "Remote controlled toys are a shared interest for the two of us. We were playing together the other day, but I only ever break the helicopter (laugh). But Sungyeol's super good at it!"

I'm currently using Voyage d'Hermès by Hermès.

Q5: We heard that you like coffee. Do you have any particular way of drinking it?
I like really strong coffee. I don't put in sugar or cream or anything like that. Well, I don't put it in if I'm making it myself, but if it's from a cafe I'll still drink it.

Q6: You have activities as an actor as well, so what kind of influence did you get from being in dramas?
I have to memorize the script, so it increased my knowledge and my vocabulary got better too. Before, I didn't really speak that much, but now, after reading scripts, words just come out naturally. Also, I got more confident in myself.

Q5: Before, your company created a handsome guy image for you; how are you different that that image in real life?
I think I haven't changed that much from that image of L. What you have to pay attention to for the handsome guy image is that you don't exaggerate things too much. I can't be overly excited like Dongwoo or Sungyeol (laugh). Although there are times when I wish I could get excited too.

Q6: What are you into lately?
Right now, I'm into shopping. Since it's winter, I want a warm outer coat. There are lots of times when I'm just walking down the street and see something I want to buy, and I shop online too. I haven't really had time to go shopping in Japan yet, but a long time ago, I went to Shibuya and Harajuku. I want to take time to go shopping properly in Japan.


Sungjong:

Q1: What part of your body do you have the most confidence in?
My eyes. I think they're pretty and clear.

I'm jealous of Hoya because he's super good at dancing. For parts, Hoya always has clean muscles (??) so I want to to become that type as well.

When I'm walking along the street and see pretty clothes in a store, without realizing it I start going towards them. Also, bookstores. Lately, I've gotten interested in nonfiction books and have been reading those a lot. Recently I read the original of the movie "Dogani." Now I'm reading "Umma ga Mianhae Keurigo Saranghae" (a book written by deceased actress Choi Jin Sil's mother).

Q4: What type of scent do you like? If you use perfume, tell us what brand.
I like scents that aren't too strong and just make you feel safe. Right now I have about 3 different perfumes, but usually I don't really use them.

Q5: What part of you do you think is more manly?
Maybe I don't really show this to the members, but like when I'm angry, a manly side of me will seep out. When I'm angry, the number of words I use will decrease, and I can't accept it if the other person messes around even a little! But after fighting, I'll apologize. Because I'm cool like that.

Q6: You have such a pretty body—what kind of care do you do?
At times when I haven't gotten enough sleep or when I'm dehydrated, I take care of my skin by using a lot of lotion or cream. Other than that, there's not really a secret; I think it's just my body type.

I think if you know someone well enough, you start recognize their distinct smell? Everyone's got that smell cycle you described but the particular smell differs slightly from person to person. But most humans' smell sense isn't very acute, so there's the possibility that he means people's signature perfume, which they usually wear = their smell.
