ZE:A delights in fan questions during interview

Popular Korean idol group ZE:A was in the Philippines to promote their single "Exciting". As reported by the Yahoo! Philippines OMG! ok Pop blog, the boys will be in the Philippines for a series of mall shows to meet their fans and promote the local release of "Exciting", a CD+DVD package of ZE:A's 2011 summer single. The young and talented group met the press last January 11 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Makati.
Yahoo! Philippines OMG! okPop blog was honored to have an exclusive 10-minute sit-down interview with six members of ZE:A including Min Woo, Hee Cheol, Kevin, Tae Heon, Jun Young, and Hyung Sik. Why were three members namely Kwang Hee, Dong Jun, and Siwan missing? Click here for the answer.
Some say that there are stars who only look good in pictures but not in person. This is not true of the ZE:A members. All ZE:A boys were handsome with skin so smooth, it is simply unbelievable! What is their secret?! I don't think it is BB cream since they don't look like they had make-up on! Don't hate me but I got to shake all their hands so I got a pretty good look at all of them! However, it is not only their physical charms which makes ZE:A endearing. It is really their palpable sense of humor and positive energy which made this interview one of the most fun interviews I have had.
To prepare for this interview, I ran a thread on my Facebook page asking ZE:A fans to submit some questions for the members. Here are the answers to the questions that I was able to ask:
For all ZE:A members, what are the characteristics of your ideal girl? (Question from Anne Co)
This question is probably a very common question for ZE:A members but their answers surprised me in that it revealed how ZE:A are quite mature in thinking. Min Woo, ZE:A's main dancer, expressed that he likes a girl who "works hard for her craft" while Hyun Sik said that he likes a girl who is "friendly and independent". Two ZE:A members named popular actresses as their ideal including Tae Heon who named Han Ye Seul ("Spy Myung Wol") as his ideal further citing her "nice smile" and Kevin who mentioned Jessica Alba. Breaking the seriousness of the other members, Hee Cheol said his ideal girl is "sexy". Jun Young nodded in agreement to Hee Cheol's answer.
If you were not a K-Pop idol star, what would you be doing now? (Question from Samara Sylim)
This question got the boys thinking and their answers really revealed their personalities. Tae Heon was the first to reply stating that he'll be a bodyguard. Kevin said that he'll be a chef while Jun Young mentioned that he'll be a soldier in the military. Hee Cheol said that he'll probably be a "hak seng" or a student and Hyun Sik will be a model. Min Woo said that he'll be a dance teacher.
Among other K-Pop idol groups, who are your personal idols? (Question from Shiela Frial Irinco)
During the press conference, ZE:A already mentioned Super Junior as their idol so during our sit-down interview, we asked them to give other names aside from Super Junior. At this, they all mentioned "Shinhwa". This unexpected response elicited a fangirl reaction from me and the boys of ZE:A, upon witnessing my fan squeal, laughed and actively teased me for being a "Shinhwa Changjo" which I didn't deny. I told them that I also like Super Junior and ZE:A which elicited a very cute "Salamat po!" ("Thank you!") from Tae Heon. Indeed, the ZE:A boys were very gracious and explained that they idolize Super Junior and Shinhwa because both groups have been performing for a long time and that their fans love and support them through the years. I am sure this is also what they wish for themselves.
How has your life changed since your debut? (Question from Karen Valeza)
The ZE:A members shared that since their debut, they feel that they have matured more in their music and their team work. They also mentioned that they look forward to traveling which they love to do. Jun Young actually said that they aim to do a world tour.
What activities do you like to do during your free time? (My Question)
A resounding "SLEEEEP!" came from the mouths of the ZE:A members when this question was asked. They expressed that due to their hectic schedules, they sleep whenever they get a chance.
For Hee Cheol, have you ever had a conversation with SNSD's Jessica? (Question from Chanseowoon Cody Salcedo)
This was the last question I asked and Hee Cheol was at first surprised that a question was directed straight to him. His fellow members, all smiles, encouraged him to respond and he said that he was only able to say "Hi!" to her.
