Rookie boy idol group B1A4′s total album sales reached 100,000 copies by this year January.
Pony Canyon Korea who is the recording label company of B1A4′s albums revealed on January 10th “Even though B1A4 is currently on their break without any active album promotions, their first mini album “Let’s Fly” and their second mini album “it B1A4″ sales figures are still increasing steadily” also “We also faced some extraordinary incidents where the shops couldn’t sell more because they were out of stock”.
Also, they continued, “B1A4′s total album sales exceeds over 100,000 copies in Korea only” which showed the scary power of the group.
By the end of 2011, the Hanteo Chart (the representative music chart of South Korea) revealed the rankings of the top 50 best selling albums of 2011 where B1A4′s second mini album “it B1A4″ was on #22, they were the only rookies who made in the top 50 among the rookies who made their debut last year.
This relevant ranking was calculated by compiling all the datas from 1st of January 2011 till the 31st of December 2011 by Hanteo Chart and it is more meaningful because B1A4 is a rookie group who made their debut in April 2011 but joined the other male idol groups like Super Junior, Big Bang, TVXQ and girl groups like Girls’ Generation and many other senior artists in the TOP 50
.
Furthermore, the group ranked first in the rookie category while creating an overwhelming gap with other rookie groups, their mini album sales figure placed 5th, joining other artists like Big Bang, Kim Hyunjoong, Park Jaebum in the chart and proved their ‘Super Rookie’ power.
B1A4 will be departuring for Osaka, Japan on the 10th to attend the 26th Golden Disk Awards.
Meanwhile, Hanteo Chart calculates the total sales figure by compiling and adding all the points from their joint music stores and the sales figures from online internet music shopping malls after considering all the variables, on the other hand, the artists’ agency checks their sales record by asking their distributors so it’s normal even if the two sales figure differ.
