Kim Gura "SME Celebrities Are Better at Variety Shows than YGE Celebrities"

The comedian Kim Gu Ra who is well known for his sharp tongue gave criticism about each entertainment agency and whether its members were good at variety shows.

He appeared on JTBC’s “Idol Preview” and told miss A and MBLAQ “We shouldn’t pick JYP (JYP idols) because they are not good at doing variety shows.”

MBLAQ stated, “We are not a part of JYP Entertainment.” Kim Gu Ra replied, “Even though a lot of Hyundae companies don’t have the name Hyundae, and if they are run by family, we still consider them as Hyundae associated companies. Even though you are a part of a different agency, Rain is still JYP’s protégé, that is why MBLAQ is associated with JYP.”

He continued, “SM Entertainment celebrities are a lot better at doing variety shows than JYP associated celebrities. YG is also just a bubble.”

I can only talk about my experience. I like the way SM picks up his band members and the results from their training and dislike their resurfacing disregard of the idols' health, so I only partly agree with the management aspect. But I think that even if SM is the only one famous for it, also the other companies don't always take the right care of their artists to a certain extent. It IS a business after all and money clouds the best judgement.
Plus, sometimes complaints about management impact the way the artists are perceived too. "SM only cares about appearances, not real talent" "They are all plastic" and so on. When people wank they don't stop at a reasonable level of fairness, but tend to exagerate, in response, stans get bitchier. Sometimes the contrary happens, but hey, this is fandom, and logic is banned from here.
Ugh. I'm generalizing.

PS: Generally SM stans do only like the groups produced and don't really approve the company.
