SISTAR is causing quite a stir amongst some of those who have viewed their performance at the 2011 KBS Gayo Daejun. That's because Hyorin seemed to have a bit of a wardrobe malfunction at the very beginning of their performance of “So Cool,” where some of her bottom is exposed for one or two seconds.

This has upset quite a few YouTube users who saw the performance on the video sharing website. Here are some of the negative responses:

Well, i really think their dresses are too short... The dresses they wear habitually are good, so why did they shrink them? I don't care but Hyorin must feel really embarassed :S and i think Korean people will create a scandal of this accident :(

Showing your ass isn't being sexy! You're sexy when you have, at least, a little bit of class! For me wearing a dress of this size is being "slutty" (when you don't wear anything under)

I knew from the title what it was about lol. The dresses are always short for So Cool. I'm kinda surprised no shows made them change their wadrobe since they did it to other groups in the past.

Actually Bom had a similar thing at the MTV iggy concert in NYC during Fire, but I don't think they showed it. It's on a fancam tho.

I think they were wearing safety shorts, but the safety shorts were probably just there to prevent up-skirt shots, because I think they were sewn into the dress, and that's why they pulled up like that. It's too much of a coincidence that her underwear was the exact same color as her dress.

their stylists really do need to give them longer dresses (same situation Hyuna is put in a lot) but this should not be taken as a reflection of the girls themselves and even if it were ~you're welcome~ But really I doubt that was comfortable for them and the backlash can't feel too great either. Nothin wrong w/ lettin yr booty breathe but when you're an idol (or a girl really) you don't get to do things like this w/o ppl getting on your case about it

The dresses were shorter than other performances. I mean even when they were standing completely straight it looked like you'd see something. Other than hyorin the other girls looked rather uncomfortable (unless hyorin just hid it better). Poor girl though, having that done is embarrassing, but add on national broadcasting which will forever be recorded....

I feel bad whenever someone uses that gif tbh. I don't know what's classier here: people who made her wear that dress, her (and the other three tbh, the only difference is that she is a bit more curvy so ofc it shows more) wearing that dress or people having a feast over those gifs/vids etc.

Depending on how their contract is written, refusal to wear what they're told to wear/perform in that might be a breach of contract, and could get them in deep shit. There's no way to know without actually seeing it, but it's not unheard of.
