Date: 2011-12-26 02:23 pm (UTC)I think basically, they've just been working hard since they debuted in April, and WMEnt is doing a really good job promoting them, even though they are a very small company. Their album sales have been very good because they haven't released singles, both their albums were mini albums that included photobooks, photocards, and posters.
Their songs have not been big hits really, their digital sales are really low, but they did get a lot more attention with "Beautiful Target" I think in part because it was a different style song to what was being released at the time by other groups.
I think that they've just slowly built their name. Their fancafe basically shot up around October/November, they gained like 7,000+ fans in November, and they continue to gain a large number of new members everyday.
I think it just comes back to the likeability factor, there really isn't anything to not like. Yes, their concept as a group is cute, but it's not forced cute like Boyfriend was, and that didn't work too well for Boyfriend, but it's a natural cute for B1A4, and they don't come across forced. They just come across as themselves. And that's why I personally love them, you can tell that they are loving every single second of their career so far, they love being on stage and performing, and that enthusiasm is contagious. And it's worked well for them.
I'm really curious to see how well they will do with their upcoming comeback that's in the works, now that they keep amassing more and more fans.
/sorry for the super long comment. Lmao.
