Questions!
  • How are Seohyun's and Key's Japanese?
  • What's the difference between Victoria's mandarin with Zhou Mi's mandarin? (It sound kinda different to me)
  • Korea, Japan, USA, Canada and China are considered global?

I will never understand why SM holds auditions in Canada (I'm from Toronto) and yet never hold concerts here!

I agree, I wish they actually had a concert here, I know a ton of people who would go ):

I can't watch it,but I guess their Mandarin sounds different since Zhou Mi is from Hubei and Victoria is from Shandong?

Dying at Zhou Mi's "entertainment". idk the way he pronounces it is hilarious to me.
Seobb is flawless as usual.

lmao Ryeowook's accent is so awful

Yeah, you can definitely tell Victoria's from northern China. Zhou Mi's Chinese sounds pretty standard to me.

Aww, Ryeowook probably practiced that so hard~ I understood half of it :)*smooshes* And then Zhou Mi comes up and he's all Mr. Speed Talker XD

I now understand what people mean when they say "he could sing the phone book and it'd be good" cause Kyuhyun sounded strangely adorable reciting out the website address. :)

Key's Japanese has a slight accent to it, the way he pronounced "soshite" for example was a little bit off, but he manages to do a good, understandable job. Seohyun sounds pretty fluent to me, rehearsed, but they all did no matter what language.

Imo Victoria sounded different to Zhou Mi because she was reading off a bunch of dates she didn't seem to be familiar with. Didn't Mimi also used to MC before he joined SJ-M? His speech had that kind of ~slick sheen~ to it. Otherwise both of their accents were pretty standard putonghua.

From: [identity profile] honeyfunnybunny.livejournal.com
Zhou Mi was in this MC competition before, I think - and he did host ZLY's fanmeet(or was it presscon?). His speech has that typical ~announcer~ clear pronouncation, emphasizing on all the correct sounds. lol

Victoria does sound different though, but she's from Qingdao, I prefer her way of speaking putonghua better than the standard beijing-way lol.

Victoria speaking chinese is heavenly. It sounds so natural and nice. I really dislike it when she speaks Korean because it does weird things with her voice. Both her and Zhou Mi speak really standard Mandarin imo, it's just their inflections, and the fact that one is male and one is female lol. They both sound like newscasters

ooh! i knew donghae made an appearance in this, but i still squealed in delight when the came out at the end. and he spoke in mandarin. i love it when he speaks in a different language.

i wish henry made an appearance, too. and amber. aren't they both from canada? zhou mi really sounded professional. he seemed the most at ease.

Amber is from the States, specifically LA I think. Henry was raised in Toronto.

idk victoria and zhoumi both sound pretty standard to me. but zhoumi is enunciating a bit more like they do in official broadcasts.

The only mandarin I understood was when Victoria and Zhou Mi were speaking lmfao. Well, Zhou Mi's mandarin is pretty standard - a lot of pressure on the h and sh combinations, typical mc. Tbqh I understood Victoria better, but that's probs just because it bothers me when people either speak typical dongbeihua emphasizing on R and standard mandarin with the emphasizing on H.

Like everyone said, Victoria and Zhoumi both spoke pretty standard Mandarin--there wasn't much difference.

I personally think Victoria's Mandarin is really nice to listen to--her Mandarin is like how many female Chinese would speak it.

Jessica sounded like she was going to explode in laughter at any moment.

Seohyun's Japanese is too "straight from the textbook". It doesn't sound natural.

Lol Jeti both sounded like they came up with the whole thing on the spot while everyone else sounded rehearsed xD

Tiffany's "We wish you all luck" at the end ;~;
