Five-member girl group New.F.O is receiving interest in Korea because of their unique dance routine.
On December 15th, footage of the girls dancing the choreography to their debut song “Bounce” was revealed through their official YouTube channel, and many netizens noted that there’s a similarity between New.F.O. and ‘trend idols’ INFINITE.
The girls’ video brought to mind a powerful choreography point from INFINITE’s ”BTD” — particularly, a move that’s been nicknamed as the ‘scorpion dance’.
Additionally, the girls also released a dance tutorial video where member SOYI, who’s certified to teach hip hop dance, showcases the group’s ‘Goomchi’ dance, which utilizes the heels and elbows. Soyi personally guides the viewers step-by-step, making it easier for them to learn the moves.
Netizens who saw the videos displayed interest in the girls as they commented, “They make the goomchi dance look easy, but it’s rather hard to learn“, “Female INFINITE~“ and “They’re so flexible! The dance seems up to par with INFINITE’s ‘scorpion’ dance.”
New.F.O are actively promoting their first digital single, “Bounce”.
