Shin Hyesung Talks About His End of The Year Concert + New Album Release

2011-2012 Shin Hyesung concert THE YEAR'S JOURNEY

Shin Hyesung will be spending the last night of 2011 with his fans in a concert on December 30th~31st.

He's performed successfully in June in his 'SHIN HYE SUNG 2011 Tour in SEOUL - THE ROAD NOT TAKEN' concert, his encore concert 'SHIN HYE SUNG 2011 Tour in SEOUL - THE ROAD NOT TAKEN ACT II' in September, and also in Busan, China and Japan, and now with his new special album, he's preparing another concert to wrap his year up.


Q. Why did you prepare this year-end concert
I think this is the first time I'm holding a concert for a special date, like Christmas or the end of the year. I put this year-end concert together because I thought, it would become a present to both me and for those fans who have been by my side for a long time, to spend a special day of the year together.

I wanted to perform for them my new album to be released in December.. And I looked back on this year, and I saw that after releasing my 4th album in June and deciding to concentrate on concerts for this year, I've performed in so many concerts compared to any other year. Since I started my activities this year with a concert, I'll be ending it with a great concert, too. I wanted to be with the many fans who came to see me at my concerts this year, for the last day of 2011 and the first day of 2012.

Q. The title of the concert is 'The Year's Journey'. What does it mean?
I literally wanted to look back on the journey of 2011 with my fans. The concert to be held on December 31st at 10PM, the last day of the year, will be a special concert in which we'll look back on this year's journey, and prepare for the new journey of 2012 together.



Q. Sounds like it's going to be a special concert. Please tell us what you're preparing.
Like I mentioned before, before my concert I'll be releasing a special album, and in this concert I'll be performing the new songs for the first time. It would be great to listen to the album at least once before coming to the concert. I'm also preparing a special stage. A pop medley rearranged Shin Hyesung-style, and also some songs I like. And for the last day, I've prepared a special countdown event. You can look forward to it.

Q. How do you feel about your year-end concert
I've performed in a lot of concerts, but I'm already looking forward to this concert because I can be with my fans for the last day of the year and the first day of the next. Because it's a concert with a special meaning, I'll be working hard for it until the day of the concert. I hope I'll have a great time with a lot of people.

Q. A word to DAUM Music fans
I want to say thank you for always showing a lot of love. I want to have a good time with you looking back on our year and talking about what we want for the next. I hope a lot of you come in to enjoy it with me. See you at the concert!
