2011 Melon Music Awards Winners and Performances

K-Pop stars flocked to the Seoul Olympic Park Stadium on November 24th to attend the ‘2011 Melon Music Awards‘.

The awards show, which began in 2009 and is now entering its 3rd year, established itself as one of the big four music awards ceremonies in South Korea, alongside the Mnet Asian Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards, and Seoul Music Awards.

Melon awards were a joke this year. T-ara best MV, for Roly-Poly, really? and then BEAST with the artist of the year award?? I will never understand why this group even has a fanbase, they are so basic and have absolutely nothing that makes them stand out from other groups like U-Kiss, Infinite, Block B, etc. Of course that's just my opinion but I don't think they deserved this award with that plagiarized fact and fiction title track. Homin deserved it far more imo.

Congratulations to BYJ, Huh Gak, SNSD, and IU though! 2NE1 as well, even if I did prefer their first mini album.
