will.i.am to perform at the 2011 MAMAs

World-famous artists will.i.am and apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas will be attending the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards to take place in Singapore on the 29th.

will.i.am will be performing his new hit song ‘T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)” which was just released on the 20th. He has also reportedly been preparing a special performance for the MAMAs, garnering the interest of many international fans.

The Black Eyed Peas have secured numerous #1′s on Billboard‘s ‘Hot 100′ chart back in 2009 as well as breaking a record for having the longest #1 streak. Furthermore, the Black Eyed Peas are a skilled and talented band that have earned Grammy Awards in 2006, 2007 as well as in 2010. will.i.am has been previously known for his high interest in K-POP, and singing high praises for girl group 2NE1.

A representative from MAMA stated, “will.i.am is an international hip-hop icon. It will be an honor to have both will.i.am and apl.de.ap in attendance, as they’re the influential trend-setters of the music world. This is a huge event in Asia being put on for 1.9 million fans, and we will be preparing performances that will not disappoint. I hope everyone will look forward to the event“.


Apparently 2NE1 is supposed to be doing a special stage thing with him when he performs. I don't really know I how to feel about that tbh.

bep's music is fun. i don't mind hearing it in clubs, but i won't actively listen to most of their songs. the last one of their songs that i really liked was meet me halfway. it reminded me of the 80s/early 90s and the cartoons/tv shows i used to watch back then.

and honestly, i would want to see a special stage. i know 2ne1 is going to rock it and i hope they sing an english song.

I think Will is legit talented, even though the quality of BEP's stuff has gone downhill. These days he just puts out what will be incredibly popular and trendy. But he knows what the public will eat up and writes it. Same with apl.de.ap. I hope he performs one of his solo songs.
