Tickets to B1A4′s Japanese showcase sell out in one minute

Rookie group B1A4 amazed the public with their level of popularity after it was revealed that tickets to their first Japanese showcase were sold out in just 1 minute!

The boys will be putting on their first show in front of Japanese fans and local media at the ‘B1A4 – Japan Showcase Live 2011′ on December 9th in Tokyo.

As soon as tickets went on sale, a flood of eager fans overwhelmed the site and caused the server to crash. During the second round of sales after the crash, all the seats were sold out almost instantly. Those fans who weren’t able to get their hands on a ticket have been pleading for an extra date, and some have even paid up to 100,000 yen (~$1,300 USD) for one ticket on auction sites.

B1A4 has signed with Pony Canyon, the same Japanese agency as Hallyu star Jang Geun Suk. It’s an unprecedented feat for a rookie group, and with this new development, it proves that they’ve got a lot to offer.

I like B1A4 but I have a hard time believing that any fan would drop $1000 bucks to see them Ina country where they're not even popular lol. I still think debuting them in Japan at the moment is a bad idea. I guess their company figures it's better to ship their cutesy songs overseas before they start to change their image.

Can't wait for follow-up promos, I'm so glad they don't do repackages.

It's funny how they only debuted this year and had like 1 or 2 singles and they're *zoom* *zoom* *zoom* to Japan with all their remakes. Why don't they just debut in Japan tbh. Their popularity in Korea is not even explosive and then they go Japan due to "high demand" and "lots of fans"...
I doubt of the credibility of this achievement given the fact that they're under the same company as JGS, the company which hire fans to greet JGS from the airport. I would not be surprised if they simply buy back all the unsold tickets at the 59th second.

My question with these types of articles is always for the number of tickets that were sold out. I want to believe my bbs are doing well but mostly I'm worried about them going to Japan.

But most importantly, they are coming back with My Love!!! YAAAAY! I would have taken any song off it B1A4 other than chu chu chu. ^___^

I don't follow B1A4 to know where their showcases are going to be but tickets are usually released in batches here, like there may be fanclub sales, then pre-sale lotteries, then general on-sale. So things can sell out very quickly if there are only small batches sold at once, and of course they are probably playing at a smaller place like Zepp Tokyo. Makes for good headlines (but a huge fucking headache if you are a humble peon trying to get a ticket, because Japan turns a blind eye to outrageous scalping - I'm 99% convinced half the batches of available tickets are probably allotted to scalpers who give the official sellers a kickback... wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.)
