A older friend pointed out to me the other day that the whole WG vs. SNSD thing is very akin the Utada Hikaru/Ayumi Hamasaki rivalry, respectively. On one end you have a very down-to-earth, approachable artist who is more organic in sound/looks/personality like Hikki and WG; on the other hand you have glossy, perfectly primped, larger-than-life glitter-coated artists like Ayu and SNSD...especially true when you think of the record-breaking in terms of sales that Ayu and SNSD do. She said at the end of the day she thinks the Hikki/WG formula has more longevity and given Ayu's star is already fading, she thinks SNSD will go the same route.

Honestly I don't think anyone in 2PM is deserving of anyone in WG...though Chansung has potential and so does Khun (even if the latter only seems close to Sunye, and that's in a very sibling-like fashion). And I say this as a 2PM fan too.

Yep I definitely do prefer them as JYP fam than anything else, and it's nice to know really their sibling like relationship is solid. Secretly good revenge against Taec for liking SNSD so much (I kidz, he is close to the girls)

Technically, but they are still both in the same year (1992) the unnis (Sunye mostly) still consider as a maknae. Even with sunmi around they addressed both as "kids". It's kinda hard to phase out since Sohee has been the maknae for 4 years, JYP Nation's maknae for the longest time before suzy.

Yes, packing up and moving to a completely different country (where you don't speak of the language/know nothing about the culture)--a country where none of your countrymen have succeeded in your field before--during the peak of your career to start over from scratch is what I call "safe", definitely.

Especially the very pedestrian idol behavior of openly saying you date now/that you go clubbing. I mean, live a little, girls....
