Co-Ed adds new member + Kangho withdraws from group

Core Contents Media has announced a member change in one of its groups, Co-Ed.



To start, representatives revealed that ‘Superstar K3‘s Shin Jong Gook will be joining the group as its newest member.

The agency revealed that they decided to add Shin Jong Gook into the 11-member group, Co-Ed, after seeing his potential. He will be making his official debut with the other members of Co-Ed’s male unit in March. This 6-member unit will be comprised of Jong Gook, Kwang Heng, Yoosung, Taewoon, Noori, and Sungmin.

The CEO of Core Contents Media stated, “With the success of Co-Ed’s female sub-unit ‘5dolls‘ (Soomi, Hyoyoung, Chanmi, Eun Gyo, and Soomi), we’ve decided to launch the male unit this time. We are planning to showcase Co-Ed’s male unit next March, and Shin Jong Gook will also be making his mark in the music industry through this unit as well.”

He also praised the newest member of Co-Ed with, “Shin Jong Gook is a guy with amazing vocal ability.”

Sadly, the announcement of a new member was conjoined with the statement that Kangho, one of the original members of the male unit, would be leaving the group. Core Contents Media explained that Kangho decided to leave in order to focus on acting.

This is good news. Personally I don't care if Kangho goes into the same hibernation cave as Kibum and never come back out. Now CoEd can actually move on and promote as a mixed group again and this fangirl will rejoice. I always liked the boys of CoEd, as a subunit I think they have more talent than the girls. Taewoon/Yoosung/Noori can actually sing and Sungmin can dance and Kwangheng can look pretty. Plus this new addition looks promising, I mean he can play the kazoo, what more do you want in a man!

Slightly OT, but I was watching the 5Doll's perf for the KBS concert and maaaaan it was rough. They were so uncharismatic and messy and only Chanmi/Eunkyo looked like they knew what they were doing.

Good that they got rid of Kangho. I don't mind about the boys but eeeeey I want Co-Ed to come back as a full group ! Too Late and Bbiribomx2 were catchy - and my jam for a moment - and as a full group they can stand out and have better performances... I don't see the appeal about another nugu male group (or 5Dolls, as much as I liked Like This Like That, they need to work more, only Eunhyo and Chanmi stand out of the group).

... Ok I might be one of the only ones who liked them, actually. Even if the live performances were awful.
