That shit is scary, I was followed home by the same person for four nights in a row home until I called the police. I always pulled out my phone and called my mum and talked to her the entire way home. I was mortified it must of been the same for Jessica. I've never felt fear like that before in my life.

That's scary as shittttt. When I was living in my shady apartment (which had a murder and multiple thefts in 2 month), I went to the public garage area to throw away recyclables. That area is blocked off, and some car came by and blocked the entrance and a man came out whistling and just standing around doing nothing. Luckily a car came by and he left. I called the cops but SD's police suck donkey nuts and they didn't even report it and said it wasn't suspicious. -______________-

God, it really sucks to be female sometimes. Obviously, there are male victims of stalking, but it isn't an innate worry for most men the way it tends to be for women. Especially since there's the societal stigma that if she isn't careful enough and something does happen to her, it was her fault, and what was she doing out at that hour, and so on. :\

It makes me sick that the first things police ask during harassment reports are "What were you wearing? Why were you out alone? Were you flirting? Were you drinking?" How about asking the harasser "Why did you harass this person? Have you done it before? What made you think you had the right to do so?"
