TVXQ’s “Tone” tops Taiwanese album charts

TVXQ‘s Japanese album, “Tone“, has reached first place on a Taiwanese album chart!
On October 24th, MTV Taiwan reported, “TVXQ’s ‘Tone’ has exceeded 240,000 units in sales, coming in at the top for the week of October 15th through the 22nd.”
They continued, “The album was released in red, blue, and yellow cover versions with six images that fit to each concept. The three albums combined form the phrase, ‘It’s my way’. Their latest song brought together TVXQ’s powerful performance style and vocal skills.”
In related news, TVXQ also released a special photobook titled “Sun” from their Spain photoshoot. The boys will soon be preparing for their nationwide tour in Japan, scheduled for the beginning of next year.

The number counts both Japanese and Taiwanese sales ^^
i think the trans into english is a little awkward/ambiguous, so it leads to confusion. (nothing against the translator or anything. It's just written like that)

no i think is only taiwan cause in japan they have aold over 270,000 copies
and its says "sells from octuber 15-22" and in japan it was release on september

I think it is both cause Taiwan has an even smaller music market in SK. To get platinum certification, you only need 30k sales. :)

It's both according to the article.
Maybe the guy didn't have his numbers right, but in the original one he was referring to both.
It's probably higher than what he said with total sales by now.

Also, like another user said, Taiwan buyers market is teeny tiny when it comes to physical sales.
Not even the top Taiwanese acts that the whole public knows can sell 240,000 copies of their album in a month. Maybe in mainland, but def. not in Taiwan~

Late, and the sales figure is pretty off, but I rather enjoyed the JK-POP segment where the host introduced the album pretty thoroughly.
