MYNAME, “Hwanhee got 10 shots on his shoulder, but showed fighting spirit and guided us”

Coincidental. On his enlistment day today (27th), his students debut.

Hwanhee couldn’t watch MYNAME’s first debut stage, a group he personally trained, and went to the Nonsan training center with heavy steps.

“(Because of shoulder dislocation) he even got 10 shots of injection on his shoulders, but he never showed that he was hurting. He came looking for us almost everyday in the practice room even during late night practices, and guided us.” The MYNAME members expressed their gratefulness towards Hwanhee, who was attached to his pupils till the end and showed passion.

The 5 members Insoo, Gunwoo, Seyong, JunQ and Chaejin take responsibility for the confession caused by their teacher’s enlistment.

After going through about 2 years of deadly training, they finally introduce the members with their ambition of “imprinting our name in the music industry and becoming the best,” on the same day they take their first step with Message on Mnet M!Countdown.

Like the colorful charms of Message’s album jacket, the 5 members are interesting with their overflowing foundation, talents and gift.

Known as ‘Hwanhee’s look-alike’, Seyong was a trainee for 3 years after passing a JYP audition during his middle school days. Before Hwanhee’s enlistment, Seyong revealed his face in Hwanhee’s 1st full-length album track ‘Love you Love you’ featured as a rapper, as well as being a back up dancer for Hwanhee’s title track ‘Love Pain’.

Seyong, a former dance major at Sejong University with outstanding dance instincts, even coached Miss A’s Suzy (T/N: The reporter made a mistake. It’s supposed to be rhythm gymnast Shin Suji.) and Son Yeonjae in ballet lessons. Leader and main vocalist Gunwoo has a charming voice and impressionable deep eyes.

The maknae line has looks that can shake the hearts of noonas. JunQ, whose lips curve up slightly when he smiles, similar to Lee Seunggi’s 1000 watt smile, is in charge of rapping. Maknae Chaejin has a pure image which reminds one of Ji Hyunwoo.

“Always act like a rookie, never be arrogant, and be modest instead. If you’re modest, you won’t lose. A winner is a winner.”

Among the things they learnt from their teacher and 1st generation idol member Hwanhee was asking ‘things that are deep in your heart’, which the 5 members recite like a textbook. Without leaving out a small part, they memorise it exactly the same.

“(Hwanhee senior has) a strong desire to win and is a perfectionist. Before going on stage, apart from himself, he will specifically check everything including the dancers, stage equipment, outfits, and lighting.” (Seyong)

The MYNAME members mentioned Hwanhee’s detailed appearance which is different from his (somewhat unfriendly) broadcast image.

“He is always finding out whether the 2 hyungs (Gunwoo and Insoo) are taking good care of the dongsaengs. During recording, he gives us checks all the way till saying ’1′. Even when he went to Japan on business, he coached us through recorded files that he made and gave us.” (Insoo)

Even on his last day before enlisting into the army, Hwanhee went to visit his students MYNAME in their practice room and inspected their performance.

“We are very honored to be introduced by the nickname ‘Hwanhee boys’. We will want to surely hear that we are ‘rookies who sing live well’, ‘group without cracks’ for our first performance today.” (Seyong)

"In abstract, our biggest goal is to win 1st, but our goal for the first album is to let the public know our name, just like our team name MYNAME," said the members who have concrete plans to do so.

In a while at 6pm (on the 27th), the 5 boys are prepared to take on K-pop’s 2nd future. The reason is that there is a lot of anticipation regarding their first performance of ‘Message’.

Yes, he enlisted yesterday. You can read about it here (http://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/7766122.html). He announced it a few weeks ago that he'd be leaving. But he did finish filming a movie before he left, the movie will be out next year, so at least there's that. ^^;;

They look bad on most of the photos, yet during lives or the MV they're simply gorgoeus.
I like their uptake on performing, so yeah, I'll probably become a fan of them while waiting for Hwanhee to come back (#heartbroken).
