On the 26th, popular groups T-ara and Infinite and magician Lee Eungyeol participated volunteer work in Gwangju with a total of 40 people for the Sharing Love Campaign for the "Green Umbrella Children's Foundation for Disabled Children".
The volunteers took part in "sharing love" with the children by playing, walking, and putting on magic shows and plays for the children. The service also has a "Love Sharing Concert" sponsored by Nongshim Ramen annually each year since 2004. Over 440 people participate in volunteering and Nongshim Ramen had decided today to donate snack boxes that included over 1,100 boxes of snacks.
The T-ara members who participated in the volunteer work said, "The Sharing Love magic show and taking care of the children and expressing love while having fun is something that's beautiful and made us all feel happy. If we get the chance again, we'd like to come and volunteer again."
The Sharing Love Concert is on the 6th of next month at the Olympic Stadium and will have guests including Girls' Generation, Brown Eyed Girls, T-ara, Teen Top, MBLAQ, Davichi, and Kim Hyunjoong.
The Nongshim Ramen "Sharing Love Concert" has received from various people a combined total of about 447,000 boxes of ramen noodles for less fortunate boys and girls, undernourished/underprivileged children and alienated citizens, which is passed on by the Red Cross.
T-ara's Jiyeon-Hwayoung, "Preparing hard for college without special admission"
Girl group members Jiyeon and Hwayoung were recently associated to rumors that they would be specially admitted to college, but they denied these claims and call these rumors "completely unfounded" and said they are preparing for college like everyone else.
T-ara's agency said, "T-ara's Hwayoung and Jiyeon are currently in their last year of high school and are preparing hard for college. We were not even aware of when the special admissions rumors started, but those stories are completely false." Internet communities were full of rumors before that Jiyeon would be specially admitted to Sungkyukwan University in the vocal department.
They continued, "The girls are studying hard to bring their forward their best academic and talent skills."
Meanwhile, T-ara's Japanese debut song "Bo Peep Bo Peep" debuted at #1 on it's week of release on the Oricon charts and they are currently preparing for a November comeback in Korea and Japan.
Eunjung reveals photos from her upcoming historical drama, ‘Queen Insoo’
Earlier, we reported that T-ara‘s Eunjung scored a major role in the upcoming historical drama, ‘Queen Insoo‘ (previously known as ‘The King’s Mother‘). Curious fans finally got a glimpse into the program today after officials shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the filming set!
Eunjung, who’ll play the younger version of veteran actress Choi Shi Ra, attended her first shoot at a set in Kyung-nam on October 24th. Despite the cold weather, Eunjung showed unwavering dedication and stamina while filming, since it was a role that she’d always wanted to do.
‘The King’s Mother’ will revolve around the story of King Seongjong‘s mother, Queen Insoo, and the political struggles she faced during her lifetime. With Queen Insu as the center role, the drama will depict the rivalries and conflicts between the palace’s three most notable women.
Directed by PD Lee Tae Gon (‘The Last Scandal of My Life‘) and written by Jung Ha Yeon (‘The Last Empress‘), ‘Queen Insu’ will run for a total of 50 episodes and will air its first episode on December 3rd.
In related news, Eunjung and the rest of her T-ara members are preparing to make their comeback for November.
