Why Is He Famous?

The people of Germany love them some David Hasselhoff and the people of South Korea love their Rain -- the entertainer, that is. The South Korean King of Pop is huge in his native country and across Asia. In keeping with pop star tradition, Rain is also an award-winning actor. He makes all of it look easy and the rest of the wannabes look even worse than usual. Oh, and Megan Fox says she wants to get with him, referring to him as the Korean Justin Timberlake. We're jealous.



Woman Magnetism

With a nickname like Puppy, you wouldn't be far off if you accused Rain of being a sap. He's been known to bemoan his single status at concerts, even going so far as to say "I'm lonely" and invite a female audience member onstage for a slow dance -- after they've received flowers from him. While this is more than enough to make us smack him upside the head, the women love him for it.

Recently named a Style Icon of the Year and included on People's Most Beautiful People list, we understand that he's a magnet for women, but we're curious as to who this stylish singing sensation considers to be the ideal North American woman. His answer? Megan Fox. Good answer, Rain. After breaking up with Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox suggested that maybe her next love interest would be Rain, describing him as the Korean Justin Timberlake. As tempting as it is to dismiss an entertainer who calls himself Rain by choice, we can't ignore his success and, shockingly, we support it. Unlike many of his competitors, Rain isn't a manufactured phony. He survived a difficult childhood and a slew of industry rejections on his bumpy road to success. In a refreshing change of pace, he's perfectly willing to make fun of himself, as his spirited 2007 appearance on The Colbert Report demonstrated. Are you listening, Kanye West?
