SM asserts that BoA won't be making a 7th Korean comeback this year

When BoA tweeted that she was spending her Chuseok holiday in the recording studio, rumors swirled around the possibility of a Korean comeback by the end of the year.

On September 11th, BoA had tweeted, “Is everyone spending a good Chuseok? I’ve been having such busy days lately, so much so that I even forgot it was Chuseok. I’m going to be spending my Chuseok in the recording studio~”

Many wondered whether she was recording for a Korean comeback, and several industry representatives even included her in their list of returns for the latter half of the year. Representatives of SM Entertainment, however, have asserted that she will not be making a comeback this year.

They stated, “We know that a lot of people are curious about whether she’ll be making a comeback this year, especially after her Chuseok tweet, but BoA has no plans of releasing another song this year. She’s always been recording songs whenever she has spare time, and the song she recorded over Chuseok will most likely be released as a Japanese single or another album.”

meh her fandom's not too surprised/upset about this, a comeback couldn't have been in the works anyway with how sm is still intent on targeting the american market with her for a second time (i.e. cobu 3D). plus boa herself has spoken about japanese activities occurring either later this year or sometime in early 2012, like the article stated. no one's definitely expecting her to be successful (as she hasn't been in quite a long time, even for her standards), but she's said making music to her is now something to pass the time with/please her fans, ala her thoughts regarding her korean comeback last summer.

basically we're just glad she's releasing something, lol. ;; even so, we've waited 5 years before regarding a comeback, i think a little longer wouldn't hurt.

Look. I am only looking forward to her english-movie because I know the dancing will be insane, otherwise this woman needs a fucking break. Plus, I'm happy that they aren't doing another Korean album because her most recent one was as perfect as it could have possibly been and it would be very hard to try to replicate that so quickly. But most of all? I wish she'd take a break. Not because I'm tired of her, but because she just deserves it. 3 months. Come on SM. She deserves it.

as the article stated, i guess it was simply because she said she was in the recording studio in her tweet, hence why some began wondering. then again she has had tweets like that before with not an ounce of speculation in regards to a korean comeback so idk. maybe this only got attention because it's chuseok related, lol.

people who aren't as invested in her activities don't really know though, so i guess a little heads up now and then isn't too bad.
