As a person who's been studying Japanese since 1999, of all the acts that have come over to Japan, theirs has been quite impressive. Given the advice they probably got from KARA, I think they must've really shown initiative. When I think about when KARA first came, they mostly spoke in Korean so this is a definite turn around.

When they actually debuted? I'm pretty sure they all spoke Japanese in all their appearances. A translator was present prob depending on how scripted the show was.

I also have a good feeling about them in Japan. Not only are they off to a good start with their Japanese skills, I think "A" is a good debut song. And I think the colors thing can be worked to their advantage to get people to know them. A little gimmicky, but it might work.

some of them are better than others in japanese, but they all speak with confidence which is more important than accent imo. that's why people who don't know japanese automatically think they sound good. i wish the members of snsd would be this confident and comfortable while speaking japanese :/

I'm not really a fan of Rainbow, but "A" was the only track that I liked from them, so I'm glad they decided to use it for their Japanese promo. As long as there's no more gosship gurl, I'm all good. :D

Aww they did great! Jisook is so cute ♥ imo some of their pronunciation and intonation was a little off but it was easy to understand (lol at sugoshi jutsu)

and i see the strategy for marketing, if Butt Dance worked for Kara I guess they assume 生へそダンスwill work for Rainbow...
