Minkyung is some sort of high profile personality like an heiress, and she either ran away from home or ran away from a kidnapping (she's on the news). Minkyung also resembles that man's ex-girlfriend (as we can see from that little flashback during camping). So the man on the phone is either a kidnapper or someone from Minkyung's family, he told the man that he's holding the ex-gf hostage unless the man returns Minkyung, and since the ex-gf is the girl he really loves, he agrees to the exchange.
The concept of kind of reminds me of December's Shout to the World/Dazzling Tears MVs. I hope it's like 8282 where there's another part 2 that explains the story better.
Oh that does make more sense, so the timeline goes: Guy's gf goes missing->guy finds Minkyung in trash (thrown there by sketchy phone guy)->some feelings develop->sketchy phone guy calls & says has missing gf & wants exchange
Yeah :/ I really wish he could've called the police instead instead of simply agreeing to exchange Minkyung, maybe he was scared the sketchy guy had him under surveillance? Either way poor Minkyung :(
Ahhh.. Thanks for sharing this! Really clears up a lot. Though I still don't get how the guy could toss away the girl so easily. And who is this mysterious caller? Why does he want her? Etc. Etc... ^^
