guy abuses an ahjussi and ahjumma in a Korean bus

A video of an African american man assaulting people in a bus in Korea has sparked controversy. On August 28th on a online community site, a video of a black man in a bus causing a riot was uploaded.

In the video, a black male wearing a blue T-shirt and a baseball cap can be seen cursing at an old Korean man and starting a fight.

The black male was seen getting in the face of the Korean old man and mockingly yelling profanities in both Korean and English while the passengers watched this and kept on saying, "let's go to the police station".

The netizens who came across this video left comments such as, "I can't understand what is the matter with him. He should be deported.", "He should definitely face penalties", etc.

**from edaily, according to witnessess in the bus this all started because he thought when the ahjussi said, "니가/niga/you sit here", to him he mistakingly took it as the racial slur.**

I wonder what happened before this. The man is yelling him to shut up so the Ahjussi probably said something first to offend the man.

There is not enough information to take a side.

But there are two possibilities that cross my mind.
-Ahjussi made a racist comment
-Drunk person causing some trouble

A news reports I saw said that the black man was being loud and obnoxious and wanted to sit somewhere where an ahjussi was seated so the ahjumma told him "you go sit there" and since you in Korean is pronounced as "niga" he got mad over that.

I don't know how true that is though but he knew enough Korean to swear at the old man, it's hard to believe he wouldn't know what "niga" meant.

Wow... I don't understand the world anymore. I know this shouldn't shock me, that people say and do things that are extremely rude or offensive, but idk. If the ahjussi did say something to the man, why couldn't he just ignore it? I mean, that's what I would've done. And when the man was telling the ahjussi to shut up, he wasn't saying anything back. I don't see the point in having to get all up in his face and physically touch him and stuff. Whatever I guess. Everyone has problems.

i seriously just cried. Being of african american race, i have worked so hard, my family has worked so hard to break this MOLD that the rest of the world see african americans as. my mother told me not everyone will be excepting of me because of my skin but i would have to beat their negativity down with kindness. my father has worked so hard to be successful and to show his children that with hard work you can achieve anything. i have always wanted to go over seas especially to asia, as i am learning Mandarin chinese to visit china and help with the famine and water supply. BUT THIS.....i feel like for some reason it just set me back, like i cant even think now. i showed my mother this video and she said, "I HOPE THE KOREAN PUBLIC DOES NOT GENERALIZE ONE MANS STUPIDITY AS THAT OF A WHOLE RACE",KOREA not every african america is this DUMB, please don't do what every other race has done, and thats SHONE US. =/....i am seriously upset and sad right now...i feel this ignorance just set me back.
