On 26 August, 2NE1 held their first concert at Seoul's Olympic Stadium. Fans from all around the world, a majority from Korea, but also including those from USA, China, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Philippines etc donated a total of 2.2 tons of rice here. The space that was located about 50 metres away from the staff entrances to the stadium was filled with about 21 rice bouquets that was donated by the fans. This was a result of the work of 2NE1 fans, who a month ago, announced the project online and sought the participation of fans from more than 10 different countries. A total of more than a thousand fans participated in this project. The overseas fans especially, participated in the donation collection activity very passionately. A concert staff said that the rice donators from USA had visited the concerts of other groups a week ago to prepare by analysing the on-site locations of where the rice would be placed and also by understanding more about the process of giving rice bouquets. On the 26th, when 2NE1 arrived at the concert location and saw the rice bouquets, they were so excited that they started taking pictures and playing around.
The rice that arrived that day amounted to 2..2 tons, and will be donated to the charity organisation that is usually supported by 2NE1 and YG. As the tickets for the originally planned 2 days of 2NE1's concert sold out, in order to repay the fans' passionate response, another concert will be held on the 28th.
~The "rice donators from USA" that the concert staff was talking about were YGLadies' admins who went to the MBLAQ concert to talk about rice wreaths :P ///the admins also said they got side tracked with the Rice wreaths talk that they only got to watch MBLAQ's encore performance XD
